iOS 27 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

There’s a new setting for Search to enable suggestions.

yes. that is turned on but still doesn't work. I've toggled it on/off, restarted, even erased and restored the entire iPad Pro m4. Still will not work with AI Siri. Works correctly with old Siri. Others reported exact same problem and its been reported to Apple.

Loving the Expressive Voices – Siri can’t decide if she’s British, Irish or American sometimes in the pronunciation.

Also: don’t have CarPlay but when I arrived home this morning it played a chime, which seems new?

I’m looking in the Password App for the new function to auto-fix passwords, but I don’t see that as an option under the Security tab. Are others missing this as well? I’m on a 17 Pro Max so I think it should be available. Also not showing on my iPad Pro running the beta.

Fix: My cameras came back online in Home!

Broken: Weird black bar in Messages at the top. Closing it and reopening it fixes it, but it does come back.

Same here. I’m also seeing an issue where the keyboard occasionally doesn’t appear in Spotlight when I swipe down from the Home Screen.

Same bugs plague my experience. The navbar bug sometimes prevents touches from registering. I also have the keyboard bug but it’s not limited to just Spotlight, it also happens in Messages conversations etc.

I think the two bugs that I experiencing that I hope next week are fixed are the touch response issues on certain parts of the screen. Though I only really seem to be seeing this in Safari.

The other item is in Messages, I have pinned conversations at the top. The black bar keeps covering them so I have to scroll up and then down to reset it and get to the conversation pins.

Occasionally I still get no unlock animation. Pretty rare and it usually happens after my phone has been asleep for a while in my pocket. It’s like it wasn’t quite ready to wake up yet.

Most annoying bug by far is only allowed one swipe up when unlocking phone. Most annoying bug in all the betas. Can't wait till its fixed.

is B5 sluggish and stuttery for anyone else? The first 4 were super smooth and fast for me.

Am I generally safe to install the latest iPadOS 27 Beta 5?
Anyone else with similar hardware try it?
I'm just DYING to get away from 26. It is such a disaster.

Anyone else notice that if you open a text from the lock screen, the keyboard won't pop up when you tap the message field?

I’m having more weird bugs on B5 vs B4:

-Siri is weirdly unpredictable especially with CarPlay.

- Lock screen widgets randomly disappear

- overheating at times

- Siri still says a FaceTime group will be created if I ask Siri to text or call certain people.
