This beta tanked my Air battery. Last beta fixed it. The one before that tanked it. Hopefully we get another beta before RC.The battery on my Air is much worse than 26.6.1.
Hope it improves by RC time

No, RCs tend to be the most stable release. Once it goes live, they introduce something that blows it the eff up. Been that pattern for years now, stretching back to iOS 13. There is something in the GM they flip that makes the OS run like molasses! Then RC will tank it.
I'm not having any battery issues with my Air. Try force-closing all the apps and restarting the phone.
I see this across the entire OS. I run Dark Mode exclusively and half my emails are written in black text, over a dark background. Files and Safari show black text in the notification prompt when they download or move files. Only the first time, then they switch to white text. Photos has issues too, showing black desk when it should be white. Same problem OS26 is suffering from and they had 6 major iterations to fix it. Still not done in OS27 is abysmal. Apple must be 60% vibe coded at this point.
Probably one of those is turning off debugging print statements and extensive logging which helps with battery life and performance. No, RCs tend to be the most stable release. Beta 7 has been rough for my iPhone 17, both in terms of battery life and thermal performance. Even Beta 2 and 3 were better. Also, "Hey Siri" never works when the phone is playing audio, which never was an issue on iOS 26 or earlier betas.
I did all the beta testing I could and reported all the bugs I found. Downgrading back to iOS 26.6.1 and will be eyeing Beta 8 to see if it is better.
Might want to be a little more specific. No issues at all on my 17PMContacts are a nightmare in this upgrade…..anyone experiencing the problem? Just search the Contacts pls
Woke up to the error some iCloud data isn’t syncing. It’s asking for the passcode to the iPhone 8 I obviously no longer have. Tech support says it has to fail 10 times in order to remove the device. Tried way more than 10 times. Still nothing. They said to keep trying for a few days and call back to escalate. He should’ve escalated already. Very annoying.
No idea. Now daughter can’t access her music even previously downloaded because this jacked up sharing. Including storage. How does it relate? With regular OS 10 failed attempts it gives the option to remove the previously owned device. With beta its been over 20. Tech support always blames the beta.Sorry about it, but how is this issue related to iOS 27 betas? 🤔
yes, and its not just in messages. happens in all apps where i close the app with keyboard open.View attachment 2656505
One bug I’m seeing on my iPad Pro, when I am in a message in messages with the keyboard open, if I close out of the app many times the keyboard stays and takes a few seconds before it goes away even though the app is gone.
Yes, that is typical for any company. Betas are often not officially supported since there can be bugs, and features aren't finalized. It's not feasible to keep tech support up to speed on all the bugs and train them on features that could be changing from week to week. It's probably the reason why tech support didn't escalate. I'm surprised they bothered to help at all without making you roll back to iOS 26.Tech support always blames the beta.

How do I get help If I’m having an issue with beta software?
Beta software may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software. We encourage you to submit feedback when you encounter these issues. If you need further assistance, please note that you must restore to previously-released software prior to contacting AppleCare.
Indeed... running beta software puts one at risk for issues that aren't yet officially supported. It's the cost of living on the bleeding edge.Yes, that is typical for any company. The level of support is explained in the Terms and Conditions that you agreed to when enrolling in the beta program.
If you didn't read that, it's also in the Beta FAQs:
The best you can do right now is to report the issue through the Feedback app, or wait until it's officially released to the public and contact support again if it's still an issue.

By any chance you set some of the playlists to auto-download? Official playlists usually update weekly.i do notice 1 bug that i have never experienced before.
in the apple music app, it seems to download random songs/albums without me doing it, so when i choose shuffle all i am getting random songs playing that i never downloaded to my iphone.
