iOS 27 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Same here on 16e with 98% battery health after 175 cycles. Battery health came down from 99% last beta to 98% in this one. I had pretty bad battery life on Beta 7, and this one has absolutely tanked it. I barely do anything on this phone, just replying to a few WhatsApp messages and listening to podcasts like MacRumors.

Keep in mind, this is after the indexing finishing.

Where your top status shows HEIF next to Night Mode, in 27 that has never shown even though it is selected in Settings.

Not that it's impossible but it's very strange that it affects some Air's and not others. I gotta think that its somehow settings related and may not be a direct camera setting? I played around with some settings, even in accessibility but couldn't get the 48MP option to disappear from the camera app on my Air.

Edit: can you try to set the desktop from full screen apps to windowed and back again to see if that fixes it?

Setting Multitasking & Gestures to Full-Screen Apps fixes it but returning to Windowed Apps unfixes.

Side note: it’s a shame Full-Screen Apps mode doesn’t retain the app title and menus in the status bar.

Both my iPad and iPhone tanked on the 27 betas. Both down to mid 90s and the iPad I purchased in Feb of this year! Both have about 250 cycles on them 😑

AI slop coming for your first born next!
