iOS 27 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I think for my Air, beta 7 was better and beta 8 feels like a regression. Today I had a massive lock up and unresponsive screen I couldn’t tap or swipe away from until I did hard restart. Was stuck at this screen and nothing responded to touch or swipe away

Had this same thing happen yesterday right after using Apple Pay. Phone was entirely unresponsive until a hard restart.

iPhone 16 PM much better battery life than 7 and 6 beta. Much smoother, doesn’t get warm. Very happy so far.

Main negative, Siri is awful. Simple tasks trying to use it with CarPlay is painful…especially asking to play songs, play a radio station or simple tasks like texting. Heck, the old Siri did this with no problem.

I thought by now Siri would be polished and tight…I don’t see how they can market Siri as an “improvement “.

I have a bit of a quirk, with it wanting to confirm I am 18+ years old to comply with Australian law. Even searching a phone number using google search on Safari enables Safe Search without being able to turn it off, even though I have verified my age. In Screen Time under settings I can’t toggle off Communication Safety and Content & Privacy Restrictions, just bounces back to On. And my devices aren’t managed either. Only happening with the 27 betas.
