iOS 27 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

RCS E2EE just starting working for me for the first time today with at least one person. It started inline in an existing thread which is nice. I'm on an MVNO US Mobile (Verizon).

No idea the rhyme or reason. I know they have a Galaxy S24 Ultra and use Google Messages app which I'm assuming has been up to date. They are also on an MVNO Xfinity Mobile but that is also actually Verizon.

Haven't seen a compelling reason to update to this beta. Seems like they pushed it out just to push one out. Am I wrong?

This is probably what will be on the iPhone 18's when they ship with a day 1 update available on release day.

This beta finally added ‘mark as read’ as a first class option when selecting multiple voice mails. ‘Delete’ has been an option for quite some time, but marking multiple voice mails as read required multiple click throughs until now.

Two-finger drag over a list, and simply hit a button. It’s the little things.

Fairly certain I could do that for a while.

Text shadows still appear on top of the icons. Watch just above the word "Calculator" when the widget closes. This happens on light colored icons as well.

It's something I do multiple times a day (I get a ton of voice mails), and only became available with this beta.

Previously, I could two finger drag-select a bunch and delete them, but there was no 'mark as read' button; after selecting, I had to go into a separate menu to do it. The elation I felt when that 'mark as read' button showed up was palpable.

I downgraded back to beta 7 and my battery is noticeably better on the Air than on beta 8. I hope RC will be good also.

Running the PB and it's an odd. On some days, my 15PM is buttery smooth. On some days its choppy. On some days i get great battery life...somedays, not so great. I gonna wait to pass judgement until the RC is out and apps are optimzied.

Hi,
On my iPad, once i activate guided access I can't get out of it by triple taping home button (9gen). I have to hard restart my ipad in order to disabled it ...
Is it a known problem ?
