Swiping down from the top makes no sense when they could replace the type to Siri interface.

Also my 16e doesn’t have an island. Where will Siri live?!
Well, I just asked Copilot that question and it said on 16e it will remain the same

evolving the personal assistant into a more capable chatbot and AI agent able to
compete with ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini
New Siri is running on Gemini models, I’d hope New Siri could at LEAST compete with Gemini. If not, I don’t think the problem is the model …

Another app nobody asked for. The new Siri and AirPower are going to launch the same time...

The above brings back memories here with all of the "A thousand songs in your pocket, who asked for that?" after Jobs announced iPod years ago.

Sadly, nothing has changed.

It’s been that way throughout time and it always will be ,ignorance will be around forever

Another year, another supposed Siri upgrade. I like the edge glow animation from last year...but that is going to rain on the parade of when Siri itself is actually better, but doesn't look any different.

As long as they include an import feature I’ll migrate from Gemini. Already switched from ChatGPT once when the migration tool wasn’t yet out… I’m not doing it again.

If this is true, I think Apple just won the AI war(s). At least, on consumers. Allowing users to press and choose which chatbot to use within the Siri app is genius. It's also very un-Apple.

Forgive my ignorance, but is there a contained AI app/service that allows you to query each one individually?

My question is, what will happen to those of us with older iPhones like Iphone 14 Pro? Will we get the Siri app or nothing?

That's a great question. Apple will likely limit it to iPhone 15 Pro or newer, even though it could probably run on much older devices. We should find out soon enough - WWDC is just a few weeks away.

I know there is a thing called a chat on AI. It’s $30 a year and you get access to I think every premium chat bot.https://shop.pcworld.com/sales/chaton-ai-assistant-premium-plan-1-year-subscription?utm_source=pcworld.com
