I really hope an untethered jailbreak is in the works. I don't like this "tethered" crap, especially when so many Cydia packages ask for respring/reboot after you install them.

But i want this damn LockCalendar again, now!

Your life will go on without it if it is a couple of more weeks. On your home page click on Calendar and then you can see all your appt's and meetings

Or what you could do is make your own jailbreak so you can view the LockCalendar

Or even better yet, you can call the wahhhhambulence

What education tells you three weeks?

The basic fact that it's in between (sort of midway) point of the 4.2, however if you've ever dealt with science... I could be totally off. No need to jump on me for giving a number with logic behind it considering what I knew at that time blablah...

I didn't 'jump on you', I asked for an explanation of the 'education' behind an 'educated guess'.

Questionable logic. It will be released when ready, which should be relatively soon if the blogosphere is to be believed. I can't imagine they'll wait until the sort of mid-way point is reached.

Sorry...so you are saying if anyone has 'dealt' with science then they should be able to see what mumbo jumbo your logic is?

But at the same time, it may be worthwhile as an interim solution. Let's say for the purpose of discussion that the dev team has two exploits they're actively working on. One will result in a tethered JB, the other an untethered. I'd rather they give us the tethered JB for 4.1, so they don't blow the "better" exploit in the short window before 4.2, which will probably be with us for a while. Trading short-term annoyance for long-term convenience.

Agree

I concur with this logic. Smart man!
