iOS 4.2.7 for Verizon iPhone

This update just popped up last night. If I upgrade to it, will I lose any music? apps? Anything? Or will the iOS just update. Will I lose anything?

No everything stays the same unless you are jailbroken. If your jailbroken you will lose that, everything else stays the same.

Nope, I am not jailbroken. Just have the regular iOS 4.2.6.

Make sure you create one last backup of your phone in iTunes before upgrading.

I upgraded last night to 4.2.7 and had no problems. I have a MBP running Snow Leopard and the next-to-the latest version of iTunes running.

Probably should have backed up the iPhone beforehand, but I didn't.
