So I was able to update to iOS 4.2 beta 2 on my iPhone 4 without having my device's UDID registered. All I did was alt+update to the IPSW, and it worked fine. A few people have been able to preserve their baseband while updating, but mine got updated by following their instructions, but anyway, it seemed to have worked fine. People who have tried this on their iPad keep getting the error in iTunes that tells you that you aren't registered as a developer.

option/alt+update works... but not option/alt+restore (requires registered UDID).. it will brick your iPad..

I always prefer option/alt+restore though.. it's always good to clean install a BETA...

Did you read the comment which you replied to?

why, what's wrong with it?

i just implied that alt/update works for users who's UDID weren't registered. but alt/restore would rick their devices... have you read my reply? lol

Does it fix the iPhone 3GS reboot problem (reboots after 5-15min of calls) ?

Every single sentence in this paragraph is completely false, for anyone I know. No one gives a crap about the colors of the UI.
No one cares about the colors? I guess someone should tell Apple and Microsoft they wasted all that money cooking up their pretty UI all these years.

My whole paragraph is false?:

"That is why we buy computers, to have a nice interface to look at and use."

-So people want an ugly interface?

"Apple should remember that the application is part of the content too."

-I have been in IT a long time pal, in my experience people care about how the app looks and tell you when they don't like it.

Watch your flippant language, it won't help you any. Is that how you write in school or at work? Here are some samples from your other 500+ posts in the past year, I do hope you will continue to educate the rest of us:

"They're idiots. Thats really all that can be said."

"Wow, two pages so far, ...either ignorant nonsense, or uninformed iPhone gibberish."

"Anyone who buys a thousand dollar monitor for reading writing and media consumption is an absolute fool."

"The only people who continue to use it are the type who's personality it was designed for:

Lonely, boring, irritating people.

If you use this, you're an idiot. Plain and simple. No debate or discussion."
