iOS 4.3: Double Vibrate for Text Messages?

Easy solution to this, go into sounds an just turn vibrate off.

So would that turn the double vibrate off for text messages? Can someone else confirm this, I've got a 3GS little skeptical of upgrading as none of the features have tempted me thus far.

Pretty sure that has nothing to do with the vibrate. Especially considering the fact it says below it that it plays in 2 minute intervals. Its for how many times the tone will play, not vibrate

Settings-Messages-Play Alert Tone

It defaults to twice. Change it to once.

This does not change the double vibrate. This just changes the repeat notifications that happen every two minutes if the repeat count is more than one.

If I turn vibrate off in silent mode (which my phone is always on), then it won't even vibrate when I receive calls so that kind of sucks.

Other than disabling all vibrating, no.

I never use the vibrating feature as I always have it turned off yet it still does it. This is pretty whack.
