I think it has a lot to do with Wifi being always on now if its able to find a signal.

So while at home your connected to wifi constantly.

I've been getting fantastic battery life. I restored from a 3.1.3 backup and have two push emails, multiple push apps, and bluetooth and wifi on. I usually have about 65% battery at the end of the day unlike the 40% I was getting on 3.1.3.

Forgot to mention that. I've got a 3GS. Usually no more than 15 minutes of call time per day, but I use Safari, some 3D games, and the Facebook app pretty regularly.

I've even been letting it go without charging some nights. Strange that there are so many people with problems after the update.

I too noticed pretty poor battery life in the few days I was using OS4 with the 3GS. On the iPhone 4 though, the battery is incredible. It seems to last twice as long as the 3GS running OS4.

Opposite!

I Googled this issue because I wanted to see if anybody else's battery life had improved as much as mine since upgrading to iOS4. I'm noticing a huge increase, as opposed to the decrease you all seem to have experienced!

I no longer need to charge my phone every night.

ios 4.3 running on iphone 4.....battery went from 86% to 64% in about an hour by just rearranging apps. Doesn't seem like it affected my ipad, haven't used it much tho today
