Haha I didn't plug it in, I have two batteries in my phone and left it in my car playing music one night and I thought that was rediculous and took a pic! Haha with normal use I get about 22 hours per charge.

Oh right you're the one who posted something about the second battery installation correct?

ios 5.1..to update or not to update...?

so i have a jailbroken iphone 4S running 5.01.
i usually charge my phone overnight and unplug it once i wake up.
but if i charge it fully before i go to sleep and unplug it and wake up i lost %20 just in 6 hours standby.
i do have push notifications on and hotmail and microsoft exchange server on to.
now i'm thinking about updating to 5.1 but then i will lose my untethered jailbreak.
please note that my location services are all off...so imagine if that was on.
i usually charge my iphone twice a day cuz i'm always either browsing or on facebook or playing a game.
what do u guys think?
is it worth it updating? (i will lose installous..biggest gain when u jailbreak ur iphone)
today i will do a hard reset and check how long my phone will last..cuz i dont pay that much attention to it.
i will keep u guys updated..

This is totally off topic, but have you seen the video of the female that can't figure out how long it takes to go 80 miles if she is traveling 80 miles per hour? :p

Hahaha yeah I actually just saw that on Tosh.0 last night. That post made infinitely more sense after that :p

Ok so I've noticed that when on Wifi, my battery lasts MUCH longer. More like the normal rates, then when on Data, my battery life lasts about 5 hours exactly. And that's only about moderate usage throughout the day

Should I restore as new?

Restoring new won't make much of a difference in usage time. Unless you don't install any apps and keep it as stock, and only using it for calls and messaging only. But installing the same apps that you had on before would probably give you the same result even if you restore as new.

If you know you have a corrupt data in your back up then restoring as new is the way to go and see if your battery fixes or not.

Of course using your phone via wi-fi will last much longer than using 3G.

Has anyones iPhone 4S battery gotten better with the update?

My 4s battery was terrible after upgrade, but now is GREAT after I've done following (via WiFi):
Backup to iCloud, wipe the 4s, reinstall iOS 5.1, restore from iCloud.
