Battery fixes are worth updating for unless you never unplug your phone. And if that does describe you then it's terrible of you to be giving advice based on that to everyone who does unplug their phone.

no advice given - only my opinion.

my iDevice normally lasts about two days between charges so no need to update the so called battery bug fixes (as this was "suppose" to be resolved on the current/previous (depending on your latest version!) version 5.0.1...!)

Mine didn't either. I had to go through software update on the phone to get it to work.
