my music app is a mess... at least with asian characters. when going into cover flow it's super laggy and crashes the app. was okay prior to b4 i believe but not fixed yet

Can you provide a link to where they said september? Cos unless you can, you're guessing as they've only ever said Fall, which is end of september, the last time they said fall, was for iOS 4.2 for iPad, which hit November. all the talk is that the iPhone 5 will be out in early october, so they don't need GM until mid september. so we have room for 1 more beta at least.

I thought he was, i hadn't seen september anywhere official. the majority of reports are putting iPhone 5 launch in early October, so iOS 5 will be out then with GM at the Media Event, which we still don't know when it is yet.

Yeah, same here, especially since I have 2200 songs on mine, and I have it set to convert them to 128K AAC to save space. I wish it would do the conversion once and store the AAC files on my PC's hard drive, but nope, it converts them every damn time. It takes 4 hours or so to sync all the songs back over.
For about 30 mins today my home button was totally unresponsive! Even turning off and on didn't sort it. Started working randomly later though.

It seems everyone agrees on 1 more beta. I don't seem to be having any issues whatsoever (at least they don't bother me) with beta 6. I was thinking Apple could fix all these and then release the GM for testing and hope, unlike last time, that they won't need a second GM.
On a different note, I can only hope that it is early Sept even though, like someone else mentioned, Fall doesn't start officially till sept. 23. Has Apple ever released any prior product before Sept 23 that was dated as a Fall release?
Lastly, not sure if this has been stated or not but will iCloud be released the same date as iOS 5 or will be there be a lag period? I am in urgent need for the automatic document syncing within iWork apps on the Mac and iOS; hence, I'm becoming restless waiting for it

Well the only Fall announcement off the top of my head was iOS 4.2 for iPad and that was released in november. Also, don't the invites for the Media Event go out 2 weeks prior to the event? I thought so but memory is failing me right now. If so, then definitely not first week of September at least.
It's been heavily implied that iCloud and iOS 5 will be at same time, makes sense since they are quite interlinked.
ios 5 is butter smooth for me. It's great, opening full folders on a full springboard page is smooth, opening the multitasking switcher is smooth even with a full springboard of apps.
Question about the wifi itunes sync. It says automatically sync with itunes but how do I get it to automatically sync? because I have to press the sync now button. And if it did automatically sync then when does the phone decide when to do it?
Regarding backing up documents and data to icloud. If it backs up a gamesave then I delete that game. If I was to re install the game to my phone will icloud install the gamesave back on my phone to?

pressing sync now is a manual sync. the automatic syncing is done when it's plugged in to the wall charging. not sure exactly how long into that it autosyncs.
as for gamesave, yes if the dev updates the game to use the iCloud API's, it should
It's never worked for me. I always have to use the button on the bottom to send it to a background tab.
