iOS 5 Compatible Hacks

Slight problem with paid Cydia Apps. Cydia is not linking account with paid apps and therefore unable to install. I have sent Saurik an email notifying him of the account info not showing in iOS 5. Will update this post when he replies or problem is fixed:(

UPDATE: Account info is now showing in Cydia and users can download purchased apps.

MultiCleaner works perfectly on iOS 5!!! Man did I miss this app!!!

Icon Renamer

Icon Renamer only partially works. If you had previously used it to rename or erase an app name then it will activate that look again. Trying to change or rename new apps does not work at this time which makes it a pretty worthless app until it is updated. Current version I tested is 1.1

UPDATE: Version 1.2 released...Updated and working properly!!!

SBSettings was just updated and is working as good as every!!!

Nice touch is that you can attach it to the Notifier Drop Down so it is all on one drop down control panel.

Still waiting for a way to hide Newstand but at least I can hide my other "Non-removable" stock apps.
UPDATE: A temporary app from Cydia called "NoNewsIsGoodNews" hides the Newsstand App. iOS 5 stable.

@Apple... Just to let you know, the tethered jailbreak is very very stable. I have only had to reboot two times since the release of iOS5 once to install Cydia and the second time to activate Cydia. At no other time have I needed my computer and redsn0w to reboot my iPhone. Any Cydia app crashes have been Cydia Apps and only affect the Springboard which reboots itself just fine.

I only have one Cydia App that is causing crashes and that is Multi Cleaner which is a MUST APP for me. To prevent crashes just do not double click the home button. This app shuts down any open app by just a short hold on the home button or I have set it up to close all background apps with a double tap on the status bar. I do not even need to see what is backgrounded so have left the app on and just do not double tap the home button.

can u post the link to this stable tethered jailbreak u speak of please. Normally i dont mess with tethered but im going crazy without a jailbroken iphone.
 
Can anybody help me get Winterboard working? I deleted the two libhide files that every tutorial has said to do but it still crashes into Safe Mode every time.
 
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is there one reliable place to check regularly to find out if/when an untethered ios5 jailbreak becomes available (I'm on a 3GS)?

Feels like coming onto these forums every few days to hunt for threads is an inefficient way of keeping tabs on things.

if you have the old bootrom 3gs, then there is already an untethered jb for ios5.

check out iclarified.com.
 
InfiniDock 1.8.1-1 Crashes

Latest version of Infinidock--1.8.1-1--unstable or unusable. Crashed on my iPad 1, iOS5, when I was attempting to update DropBox. Removed and reinstalled Infinidock in Cydia, its functionalities gone, however. No 9 or 10 icons on the dock, and no folders for my apps.

Sent an email to the dev.

Anyone else experienced this?

I should post an update on this:

Version 1.8.2-1 is very stable. The previous version--1.8.1-1--for whatever reason, crashes every time I attempt to update an app within App Store.

The dev of this app, chpwn, seems to be a very good guy. He is very responsive to emails reporting problems. thumbs up:)
