With the untethered jailbreak will your phone still reboot if not hooked up to the PC? although not jailbroken?

that question makes no sense... to be honest.... untethered jailbreak etc etc thats one question which is valid.. then if its an untethered jailbroken...how is it also not jailbroken...at the same time.. you might want to rephrase.

if its untethered then of course it is supposed to work stand alone and would not need a comp to boot.

anyways back to topic.. I have gone from JB 4.3.3 to stock 5. then to jailbroken 5.. then back to jb 4.3.3 lots .. well TONS of JB apps, tweaks.. stuff like xbackup etc does not work on ios5.

Tethered jb = Connect to computer to reboot iDevice.
Untethered jb = No need to connect to a computer to reboot iDevice.

Your second question makes no sense.

ya i know, i must have been thinking untethered when i typed the thread in for some reason. I know what the difference is but since i have never actually used a tethered jailbreak in 4yrs of using iphones i wanted to ask that.

I asked it because i believe i read something along the lines of if you have a TETHERED jailbreak then you could still boot the phone afterwards but it would boot in an un-jailbroken state.

I know some jailbreaks have been semi-tethered. I do not know if the current redsn0w JBs are. Once you install anything like mobile substrate or anything else low level in the OS even the semi-tethered become unbootable.
