Yup having used the gestures for a while now there is absolutely no going back. Glad Apple baked them into iOS 5 for good.

So are there in fact new gestures beyond those unlocked via Xcode in 4.3?

I used gestures in IOS 4.3.x and got addicted to them!!! But for some reason they are not working in IOS 5 Beta...

Does somebody know what is happening?

I just installed iOS 5 and I don't seem to have an option to turn on gestures like I did in 4.3.

Anybody? Is this something to turn on or should it be on by default?

Some thing happening to me.... gestures that worked in IOS4.3.x dont work anymore in IOS5 and there in no option in Settings/General

Gestures in iPad

I confirm Gestures are NOT working for me in my first gen iPad.

They worked in iOS 4.3.x when I had my iPad set to "development" but now it doesn't work anymore. No setting options, nothing.

This may be a dumb question but is there any way to get the gestures working iOS 5 on an iPhone 4?

This puzzles me, I too have an iPad 1, and I can't understand why Apple would specifically deactivate them for one iPad generation. Surely it can't require that much processing power. The iOS 5 page even makes a point of referring to this as an iPad feature (as opposed to an iPad 2 feature when they mention air play mirroring). I assume they're going to activate it but it is simply weird.
