I hope everyone gets this sorted out.

We updated two i-phone 4s, (16GB/32GB), one Touch 3 (32GB) and two i-Touch 4s (64?GB/8GB). The phones took forever but the iTouch 4 (8GB was fairly fast and the i-Touch 3 even faster. The largest Touch was shorter than phones but longer than any of the other Touches. No errors, very smooth download. Except for the black screens that scared the bejeesus out of me the first time it happened 😡 .

The message at the beginning of the download said it could take an hour and it pretty much did for the phones.

Really? Now it's taking forever to back up the damn phone.. is this normal?

The "backup" for my ipad2 didnt take that long the first time when I then got the 3200 error...re started PC and now the back up is taking forver the second time.

Restarting it many times didn't work with the iPad error 3014. What did work was stopping my iPhone from syncing via wifi by ejecting it from iTunes and turning it to airplane mode until it started restoring apps.

Hope this helps for someone.

mine took about an 1hr from downloading to complete. i have 200+ apps so that took a bit but I've ran through everything i could and no bugs yet

In the end, after I got the update downloaded, it took over an hour (about 70 minutes) to go through the steps to backup and restore everything -- restarting about 5 or 6 times. Good luck to all!

HELP PLEASE !!!

I had the beta version of ios 5, installed on my pfhone from the first release but when ive came to update my phone crashed and had to be retored but now everytime i turn it on i get the message my phone is not registered with the developer programme and thats as far as i can go?

Can anyone help me?

I wonder why didn't Apple work with Akamai to get the bandwidth for the iOS 5 release. That right there would have solved a lot of the download problems.

It took approx. 1.5 hours to download iOS 5 and 10.7.2 even though the download package sizes differed, which is much slower than usual but I was expecting it to be slow with all these updates everyone wants at once. Installing, restoring, syncing data to my iPhone then took another hour or so. For me, though, this time was a delight. I was expecting an evening of upgrading & read about the features, etc. between setting up iCloud & selecting installation options. I love the smell of fresh Apple software 😀

iOS 5 download was quick (enough) the restore has taken 10 hours!!

ridiculous and now still chugging says 19GB over the iphone limit? why? I had 5gb free last night with iOS 4.

crackerjacks!
