It changes from Delivered to read when they read the txt as well as the time they read it. I've never used BBM, but I suspect it is the same. Apple really did a nice job. A small touch I like is when iMessage is taking a little longer to send your message a little yellow triangle appears next to your message. If you click it you get the option to send your message as a text message.
It's been a couple of years, I don't remember exactly what it shows for the received/read functions...but I wasn't just saying it's different in that way. BBM is a completely separate app from the messaging app, completely different UI from the messaging app...whereas iM is just a couple of extra features built into the messaging app. It also had status updates which was nice (could be 'not available' and you would not receive messages on BBM for example).
When you say it shows the time your message was read, is there a time stamp available for when your text was sent, and for every text? Or is it the same as texting now, where you get a time stamp just at the beginning of the convo (or when there's an extended gap in the convo)?
Whatspp is still better IMO...don't think there's anything iM or BBM does that it doesn't..and it goes beyond both in some places...and the kicker, it's cross platform.
Good point. The first thing I'll be looking forward to is a good jailbreak too.im currently jailbroken, so i see iOS 5 mostly as a step backwards
There is the word Delivered and a time stamp below the message bubble. It changes to read and a time stamp when the message is read. Every text has either Delivered or Read and a time stamp. This only applies to iMessage and not regular text messages of course.
Only the most recent message shows if it is read or not (as indicated by your image). And that is only true if the recipient send read receipts.
