OSs nowadays have nothing major to offer, almost everything you couldn't do before you can now and that's why OSs are getting tougher to come up with substancial features.

I can think of a hundred changes iOS could implement to make our lives easier.

Just a few: Better keyboard, quick access to setting toggles, and text message details for EVERY MESSAGE.

That's only because it has been bug fixes for the past 2 betas and ZERO new features. If there's still lag, something is very wrong.

What's the point of updating to iOS 6.1 if there's nothing? It's as good as staying on 6.0.1, and I don't have to waste storage space to accommodate the new update.

Well the point? So you just as soon have a buggy OS if there are no new "features"? Interesting. I would much rather the current features work well and have fast performance as they should before having more buggy features with lag and poor performance. Guess thats just me though.

While I want a "bug free" OS and an overall smooth experience, I wouldn't mind Apple throwing us a bone here and there..

I don't know why the person updating that blog is insisting that 6.1 is going to get a keynote. It's not significant enough for a keynote. And the January-March release date? Is that vague enough for ya? That must be some insider information right?:rolleyes:

"Insider information" might be right. The poster has posted a schedule for iOS 6.1 giving some more details.
I'm sure I'm not allowed to post links to other sites here, so I don't know how we can promote that content.

Xcode DP 3 with iTunes 11 bug

That multi-legged critter has been fixed, but you'd normally have to be a developer to know about it. The bug was that launching iTunes 11 with Xcode 6 DP 3 installed and plugging in a device, would cause a message to appear that iTunes could not load data for the device. The Xcode 4.6 DP 4 that was dropped with iOS 6.1 beta 4 seems to have squashed that one.

Only thing I might agree with you: quick access to settings toggles. As for the rest, I believe only a minor percentage of people worldwide would want that, so not "worth it".

I'd also like quick settings toggle, but I highly doubt Apple will implement it in the NC, too Android-like.

Thank you!

The only 2 things I'm really waiting for Apple to add as a new feature is

add a private browsing option in safari for quick access.

And if you have jail broken your iPhone before then you'll know that NCSetting is a most also! Have toggles in your notification!

Those are the only 2 things I'm dying for apple to implement! Well mostly the toggles in the notifications.

I don't think quick settings will happen.

Apple don't want people thinking of managing their device.

An unrealistic goal to us, but I think it is their goal non the less.

Cry more. Or switch to Android, nobody cares that you don't like iOS 6. The vast majority would disagree.

I care. and that other guy cares lol
and the vast majority would disagree that iOS 6 is the least impressive iOS update yet? really??
1 -> 2 Appstore
2 -> 3 copy and paste, push notifications, 3G tethering, MMS
3 -> 4 Multitasking, Facetime
4 -> 5 iMessage, AirPlay, iCloud
5 -> 6 Maps?? Facebook??

No I'm not an Android supporter. This isn't a 'if you don't like iOS then you must be an Android fan'... I'm all Apple. But you can't not say that iOS 6 is underwhelming.
Hence why, I want iOS 7.

5 -> 6 Maps?? Facebook??

Passbook, Siri upgrades, shared photostreams, do not disturb, more security, facetime over cellular, New app store, new iTunes store, redesigned music app, some new features specific to the iPhone 5, and I'm probably missing some things.

sure. there were also dozens of minor features introduced in prior iOS launches that I didn't mention. I only was talking about major new features: e.g iOS 5's iMessage is a major new feature...'folders' isn't exactly gamechanging..
and on iOS 6, that major new feature is 'maps' which really didn't add anything..

Nothing I listed was a major feature, but copy and paste is?

I don't know which beta added this, but the Usage settings button has never appeared for me before when I needed to free space. And yeah, it should read beta 4.
