It's me or the battery consumption went bad again this build - back to 6.0.2 level.

Beta 3 & 4 was good with battery consumption on my iPhone 5.

it's amazing how it's only been one day and you are reporting on battery performance.

There is ONE issue, and that issue is that iOS 6.1 build 10B141 will not install on my 5th generation iPod touch, I have tried DFU mode, I have tested the hosts file to Apple, (I successfully downgraded from 6.1 beta 4 to 6.0.1 via Apple) and I am running the LATEST iTunes, 11.0.1 and the newest OS X build 12D58 10.8.3. Here is a reference picture of the DFU...

I would probably post this inquiry on the Official Apple Developers forum, or send a bug report to Apple as a developer.

Is the lag scrolling in the music app fixed? I thinking of updating my iPod Touch 4G, anyone installed 6.1 on it already?

I reported it, and now just waiting on a reply I have re-downloaded the firmware like 5 times today, :( to no avail

I'm really tempted to try to upgrade to 6.1 beta 5 due to wifi problem on my iphone 5 with 6.02.

For people who had upgraded, did it solve issue of "unable to join network"?
Also, can you downgrade back to 6.02 if you upgraded to 6.1 beta 5?

thanks

Normall I would ask:

Can you try another iOS device? What about a different USB port? A different cable? A different computer? Are you sure that you have the right build of the software for that device? (both 6.1 Beta 5 and for that applicable device?)

But since it worked on 6.0.1, I'm assuming it could be that you maybe downloaded the wrong IPSW from the portal? Confirm you downloaded the right package!

From what I see in the Portal I am not the only one, I have seen a few here on MacRumors too, the issue seems to be specifically the iPod touch 5th gen users...I have the right .dmg, it even says iPod touch 5th gen 10B141. :(

at this point i hope 6.1 is more stable then 6.0 was.. getting tired of apps crashing and low memory messages and yes i have an iPhone 5.

Uhh that has never ever happened to me on my i5... Do you update ur apps regularly? My i5 never crashes...i close out apps regularly and i never have a problem

I still have the same wifi issues. I would not update to a beta if that's all your after.

If I want to revert back to 6.0.2 can I still restore from a backup even if I have a 6.1 backup?

No, you can't put a backup from a future iOS (6.1) on a device with an older iOS (6.0.1 or 6.0.2). You can restore from the 6.1 backup once you upgrade to 6.1 again.

I see this. Put beta 5 on a few days ago. Now 6.1 is out but when I search for the update on the phone it's not there makes me think beta 5 and final are the same

Because they are. If they were different, you'd get the new build when you searched for an update...
