Don't know if somebody mentioned this already but now apps are installed while staying in AppStore .. No more jumping out and back in ...yay !!!

Quick questions (screenshots appreciated):
•Has cover flow changed at all?
•More screenshots of new stores please. (like the "purchased" tab, etc.)
•Are the music controls on the lock screen different?
Anything else worth posting.
Thanks.

Yes

Edit: Just made sure it wasn't going off of a pin that I had at that time, and I can confirm that is does it automatically based off of your ACTUAL location, not a pin.

Yep, seems to be an as-the-crow-flies distance measurement.
What I've kind of wanted was the ability to measure the distance between any two points. Still, it's cool that Maps will now tell me how far I am from a given point. I can stand outside and measure the distance to the other side of the street. Edit: It seems that it won't tell me how close I am to any neighboring points, but it will tell me how far I am from the nearest cross-street (300 ft).

I'm pending on whether to update my current phone or not, I updated my 3GS and things were fine but since it's old and likes to randomly cut off I can't get much testing done, I would update but I like having Siri on my 4 :)

Smart dial

I have iOS 6 if you guys want me to post something specific

Could you check if they've added the age old "smart dial" feature that existed on my HTC Tilt Fromm like 2005? If you start entering a contact's name by pushing the corresponding number key the app would bring matching contacts and you then just tap and dial. Much much faster and frankly a bare necessity considering the basic function of the device is making phone calls.

Ever since the first iPhone one has to tap on contacts inside the dialer app and go to the top then search for a contact then… it's just totally non-apple like. Not simple.

Just curious...in Safari does it wrap text or do you still have to scroll to see all the text on the screen?

New look, same functionality. Basically, dialing doesn't bring up matching contacts.

Since you can now open apps using Siri, does this mean it is possible to say "Open sparrow and send an email to..." or something like that? Using Siri to perform an action that an app is capable of (at least a basic function like email). Is there an API that would allow developers to levy Siri in this way?

Did Apple release some APIs that will let developers create commands for Siri that correspond with their app? :apple:

When you open Safari, it defaults to this:

instead of this:

Also, no lock icon on lockscreen status bar

Do Podcasts automatically update now in the Music app?

Do Notifications and Badges sync across all device and within the same device?
