Could someone check this in iOS 5 for me?
I thought I'd ask how long it'd take to fly somewhere. Siri got it totally right.

Now, does it only work because I'm the UK, and the UK now has directions etc? Or is this new to iOS 6? Or have I completely missed this feature?

That looks like it's getting it from wolfram alpha so I reckon it would work in iOS 5. It deffo has nothing to do with directions as that's turn by turn sat nav, totally different thing.

well maybe its a location thing too, bigger cities have it first...

I am in Dayton, OH definitely would call it a "big" city

If your theory were right I would have it since Cincinnati has a larger population :D

Has anyone picked up any info on maybe being able to share audiofiles between apps? Kind of like the way you do with photos and pdfs and such?

I would love to pick up an audio file from my mail or dropbox and put it in the music app without having to go via a computer!

This would be amazing, I wish this was a possibility. Especially for ios users whose only machine is an iPad.

That feature has been there since day 1 of Siri. I use it every now and then.

Messages now seems to have a nice media centre when you click on an image. Bringing you to 'x of x' photos within the app. Nice!

When you click an itunes link in the mail app it now comes up with a little preview window instead of take you to the app store/itune app!

First of all, does the UK have directions *yet* on iOS6? I'm still on iOS5 so I can't check. Also, I just asked it 'How long does it take to fly from London to Melbourne?' on Siri iOS5 iPhone 4S and it said the same. I even tried Manchester to Barbados.

Yes. We now have everything the yanks do on Siri.

Can I ask if Siri can understand your voice better than in IOS 5?

When I ask siri who is Lebron james it always comes up with Lebon James or Leblond James...wondered if you said it on IOS 6 it would understand me better?

It definitely seems better than iOS 5 for me. But I guess everyone has different results.

One thing I noticed is Siri's voice seems a bit more compressed. It sounds just a tad "fuzzier" for lack of a better word. Still perfectly understandable, but I do notice a slight difference. This is with USA English. Anyone else notice that?

Yeah, like when it was first released. I'm hoping it's because of the beta, that when it is released, she will go back to her old self.

Has this always been possible?

Yes. There is a window of time to do that, and it is often too short to even act on. But it has always been possible.

I use it to force SMS when I know the other party is having trouble with internet (usually due to wifi being connected but the wifi's internet is not working).

Oh and charging while navigating is atrocious. I started out at 80% and had it charging the entire 1.5hr drive and when I unplugged the phone it was down to 20%. I'm sure Apple will fix that.

Wow! I hope Apple fixes that. Losing that much battery power even on the charge? If you didn't have your phone plugged in, the battery would have been flat in 20-30 minutes.

They have to fix that, losing battery power while plugged in is unacceptable.

Now that Siri can launch apps, can anyone tell me if it is possible to give an app a "nickname". For example, instead of saying "open GV Mobile +" can I change it so saying "open google voice" does the same thing? (assuming I don't have the google voice app also installed).

I'm guessing siri can open every app?

also for sports on siri can siri gets team stats? so if I said

get Miami Heat stats for James? would it come up?
