I saw on the Apple site that you can now attach Photos & Video from within an email!

This is huge!
Is no-one but me is excited by this? I hate typing up an email and then realizing I have to copy/paste the whole thing after I start again from the Photos app.

It's a great feature.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but auto-brightness, for me at least, now works on the lock screen where before it would always be at full brightness and then dim or brighten after unlocking depending on surrounding light. Does this mean that the ambient light sensor is now pulling in light constantly? Can anyone confirm or deny?

Anyone using iOS 6 know if you can change the size of the split on-screen keyboard? The current one in 5 is just too small.

You can now choose to receive Amber Alerts and Emergency Alerts for your area. (I wonder if the Emergency Alerts will let me know if the lab in my city would ever have any major issues that I would need to evacuate)

Mail now has individual notification settings for your different inboxes.

Going to the Cellular option in Settings -> General allows you to control what system services can connect over a data connection

There is a "Late Night Mode" in the EQ settings

I haven't tried that late night mode yet on decent speakers. Any idea what it does exactly?

1) That doesn't shutdown, that restarts.
3) Not if there's a pass code.
4) Not if there's a pass code.

1- Does it? That's strange!! Because on my 4S, when i press and hold sleep button and home button at the same time, it powers OFF the phone. I have to press sleep button to turn the phone ON again. Does this happen to anyone else?

3 & 4. Quite right. However, lots of people get mugged while they use their phone, or get their phones snached, on which cases the passcode is not active yet.

On the unrelated subject i have a question. How frequently does apple push the beta updates on the iOS.

Once again the jailbreak community is ahead of Apple.

That is true.... however you get (i get) bugs that i don't get when the phone is unjailbreaked. My 4s is jailbroken and sometimes it makes me want to reverse that back. I like nice features but i love stability.

Having a passcode to power down your iPhone still won't do any good if your phone was lost/stolen and you wanted to track it on Find my Phone . There is many ways the wrong hands can prevent you from doing that....
1) They can power down the phone by presing Screen/home button at the same time.
2) They can take out the micro sim card.
3) They can switch ON the "Aeroplane Mode"
4) They can switch OFF the "Location Services"

To be honest, i personally think that find my phone is only useful on very few ocasions.... when you missplaced/lost your phone and some honest person found it. But on most ocasions when iPhones get stolen, it won't be any good.... except from wiping out all data remotely.

How can they do any of that if it is locked with a passcode? Apart from the home and power button of course.

That must be a US only feature. Not there at all for me (UK).

They can snach it from you when you are using it.
You could get mugged while you are using it.
It happens all the time, at least here in UK.

it is nice and all, but I think it is rather poorly implemented.
1) hold down couple of moments
2) tap right arrow
3) select insert photo/video

this should be one button like it is in sparrow

I quick sample of UK access and it looks from the response, that Siri knows what MMA is and may introduce it as a results feature.

Default 'send' address in Mail

Does anyone know whether it is possible in iOS6 to set an iCloud alias as the default send address in Mail, rather than having it always default to the username? I never use my username as an email address and it's extremely annoying having to manually change the send address to an alias every time I compose a new email!

Thanks!

You can already sort of do this. Write email, go to photos app, hit the share arrow then copy a load of photos then paste into your email.
