Can anyone confirm if there has been any change in the time limit for dowloads in 3rd party apps? Right now if you are downloading a file using a third party app/browser, iOS stops the download 10 minutes after you quit the app.

Breaking a contract is not "against the law." The adherents of a contract are not bound by law, they are bound by the contract itself.

Contracts are not approved or solmenized by a court (except marriage contracts, which are a different beast), yet they are often found to be invalid as against law, or against public policy when brought before a court for enforcement. Nothing in this country is "against the law" unless a person can reasonably determine that their potential action will be "against the law" before taking such action. This is impossible when contracts are merely formed between two private parties with no ratification by a court or legislature.

Put simply, the government has absolutely no standing to come after someone for breaking a private contract. The only government involvement is that the courts can help to enforce it if the parties cannot reach a settlement on their own.

THANKYOU Unobtanium and claygreenberg! BaldiMac clearly has no idea what he's/she's talking about. I know you don't have to have a law degree to know that breaking a contract is not illegal, but BaldiMac just doesn't seem to get it no matter how many times people try to explain to him/her. :)

 So, you are saying that there are no laws that obligate both parties to the terms of a valid contract? Weird. Maybe you could explain the term "legally-binding" or explain what requires both sides to fulfill their side of a contract if it's not the law. Or explain what basis a court rules on contract disputes if it's not the law.

Maybe law of obligations and contract law doesn't really exist.

I don't appreciate being called ignorant with no information to support your claim. Again, this is far off topic. Please use another thread if you want to continue this discussion.

Let's just make this real simple. "Illegal" = violation of the criminal code. Simply failing to abide by the terms of a contract is not a violation of any criminal code I'm aware of. A "legally binding" contract simply means that if your counterparty fails to abide by the terms of the contract, you have the weight of the state behind you in forcing him to either perform or pay you damages for failing to perform. Failing to abide by the terms of the contact is not in and of itself an illegal aka criminal act. Do you get it now?

Anyways, I think you guys should discuss the legal topic in a different thread. This is slightly off topic.

Sorry if anyone has already asked this, but can you see the date and time that a photo was taken? My camera can provide all kinds of information about the picture that was taken, but my phone can't give even the date and time? Annoying. I don't want to need a separate app for this. I do know there are apps that can do this, though.

Not through the Camera or Photos app, no.

I know you said you don't want a separate app but iPhoto for iOS is excellent, a must have in my opinion, and it can show you all the EXIF info including date and time.

Same limits.

Thanks! I kind of forgot about this. I've downloaded iPhoto in the past, but haven't played with it much.

Does safari on the iPad still automatically resize large images down to 1024 pixel width? Seems dumb what with the high res retina display.

They've disabled the dynamic volume knob in the Music app for the iPhone 3GS. Now it's just static.

Can someone confirm that the MWI's and VWI's have been removed in iOS6 ?
(Haven't checked on beta 1)(apple still signing for me as of this post tho)

I don't see them at all. And yes my settings are all properly enabled.
And yes i searched the thread.

More specifically these icons here in this picture. to the right of the arrow.
The missed call icon is not present in the pic but I would like to know about that one too.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, those icons were never a part of iOS. You must have added them through some jailbreak app.

Here is a better descriptive pic.

Look in the upper right corner. The first statusbar icon before the battery icon.

And again yes i searched around, and yes my settings are correct.

Here is one of the missed call icon

So have these been removed from ios6?

Those would only be available via jailbreak. Those are/were never part of stock iOS.

Thats a Jailbreak called "Statusbar Notifier" i think. Not part of standard ios as others have said.

Is this some kind of hazing ?

Unread mail status icon and the missed call icon have always been in ios5.1

Why do people post crazy nonsense

ps: fully restored 5.1.1

http://ctrlv.in/100140

Top right corner.

pps: would appreciate if anyone is by any chance still running beta 1 to check there as well.
And yes i know apple stopped signing it.

Are you on drugs or just being a pita?

What's next, asking if BiteSMS's icon has changed in iOS 6??

Removed my misinformation. I haven't used stock iOS in so long, I forgot that mail notifications aren't shown without a jailbreak.

Unread mail (like in this screenshot) has been in there for awhile. But the other ones you're talking about where it indicates how many missed SMS, etc. are part of a jailbreak tweak.

Thank you. That is exactly what I was referring to. (The missed call one too)

So im not going crazy.?

ok then.
