Aww I just noticed the white keypad on the phone app. Not a fan. So Android looking. And overall really not digging all the blue across the entire UI. Really don't understand the shift from the elegant grays
It is indeed terrible. But then again you can easily just pretend it's not there. Since the iPhone 3G I can honestly count the times I've used the keypad on one hand.

Does iOS6 have a setting for Week starts on (eg. on Monday rather than Sunday)? Very annoying to have a Sunday to Saturday calendar.

On my phone, my weeks start on Monday. I don't know where this can be changed. Maybe it has something to do with the localization settings.

Did they finally add lyrics back to the music player on iPad? And is it easier to see and add star ratings to songs? Right now it takes four or five clicks to different screens to do that.

Don't know iOS6, but iOS5 have a setting under general, international, regional format (not sure of exacts labels since mine isn't in english) that adapts the calendar among other settings depending on the country. Maybe that's useful.

You can now have an empty page in springboard :) you couldn't before, if you moved the last app it would delete that page.

I couldn't see this one on the first page, although I may have missed it.

This will be extremely minor point to some, but it's very useful for me. My iPhone is my personal phone & I have another one, typically, for work use. Occasionally, however, I will read some news article or something & want to email it to my work address.

This is fine until I have the situation where I have changed jobs and I could find no way within previous versions of iOS to remove my old works email address from the auto complete list.

This resulted in me having to be very careful to select the correct one avoiding any finger trouble.

Anyway, you are now given the option to remove an address from this "recent" list, which will save me time & remove the need for me to have the manual dexterity of a surgeon when sending an email

EDIT: I've added in a picture to show the interface. It only works when the email address to be removed is not included within one of your iPhone contacts, which would make sense.

I've been able to do that on my iPhone since iOS 5, it works on the first page, but not on other pages. Only page 1 can be blank.

I haven't tried making page 1 blank with my iPad though.

One thing about this that has changed with iOS 6, however, is when you reboot your phone with a blank first page, it no longer brings all your apps from page 2 to page 1. It did that in iOS 5 and it annoyed the crap out of me. Not anymore, page 1 will remain blank after reboots.

i don't know if anyone else have noticed this or is it just me feeling like this happens but;

when the phone is in locked state, when you press the home or lock button to light up the lock screen, it's like it fades in. it doesn't just instantly light up like the old ones were.

or it's just me feeling like it but i definitely think it's fading in rather that just "snap", i'm on.

It actually has to do with auto brightness! Mine only does that on some places

Doesn't do that on my iPhone 4.

One thing i've noticed is that when my phone is locked and I hear the new Mail alert, when I unlock it the Notification no longer folds down from the top as it used to do in iOS 5. I quite like this subtle change as it would sometimes annoy me when all these notifications would appear as I unlock my phone. Anyone else noticed this?

I'm still surprised how Apple did not add/change small things to unify functionality between their devices.

Unified Omnibar in Safari
Pictures in Notes for syncing with iPad
Private switch IN Safari not in the settings, in fact they should make private browsing per tab feature.

Not sure if this was implanted in safari before ios6, but if you hold the back button down it now brings up your browsing history. Pretty cool

iMessage
In iMessage you can set the caller ID for replying and for starting a new conversation (they can be different).
New option allows you to only alert you for iMessages from people in contacts (meaning a text/iMessage from an unknown number won't notify you)

How do I assign different caller IDs? I have not been able to solve this?

Also, does anyone know if the GPS works in airplane mode?

Wish that extra fifth row was made available for a widget. Just one, Apple, that's all I want.

Those damn WP8 tiles look damn sexy. Just one of those would be perfect, updating my Twitter & FB.
