I'm curious to what my town looks like on the maps app. Can someone show my hometown "Shongaloo, LA" on the maps as a screenshot? Thanks in advance.

It doesn't ask for your password when installing free updates.

May be, but you still have to log in first. I tried downloading an app and it asked me for my login information. (IE: you can't "buy" a free app without an Apple account. Sucks for "public" devices like iPads at work...)

If you send a photo to facebook from the photos app, can you comment on it and tag people? Can you set the audience for the pic? Same with sharing from Safari.

When posting a picture to FB, you can choose the audience as well as the album you want the photo to be added to. (default being "iOS Photos")

Create a work account, not tied to any credit card. I don't think most people have any issue with having to have an account to install an app and to make some sort of special case exception would just create confusion for a lot of new customers.

There is also an error in the Toronto map, it shows the island airport as begin connected to the main land which it obviously isn't as it's an island. So I am sure that there are minor errors like that all around the world.

Would you mind at all sharing what Toronto looks like in Apple's maps?

In the past when an app wanted access to your photos it had to get permission to have your location. This was because your photos contain location data.

Now, in Settings>Privacy there is a Photos sub-setting, meaning that apps accessing your photos won't have to access your "location data" (which is confusing), they only request access to your photos. This works in currently installed apps, IE: open Camera+ (or any photo editing app) and try to import a photo.

EDIT: Note that apps that take photos (like Camera+) will still need your location access turned on so that they can geotag any photos you take in that app.

When you install an app from the App Store it doesn't exit store anymore. It shows a little download bar in the App Store. New apps also get a little "new" banner on the side.

I'm not sure if somebody has hit on this one yet, but the Apple logo when you start your phone actually animates, much like the OSX counter part. Restart and give it a shot, its a classy touch :)

You can custom edit the "Can't talk right now..." reply messages, Settings>Phone>Reply with Message.

Someone requested a screenshot of the clock app. Here you go.

It does but it is extremely subtle and only animates when it first appears.

EDIT: I guess I was wrong... tried it again and it just fades in. You, sir, are loosing the thumbs up I gave you! =: P

Also note that holding the home and lock screen button no longer brings up the "Slide to Shut Down" screen, it simply kills the phone.

Am I missing something? I thought holding down the home and power buttons always killed the device - it's only when holding down the power button that it brings up the slide to shut down slider. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Has there been any changes to the youtube app? In music, can you now easily add songs to a playlist?

It did, but (as I remember it) it would first bring up the "Slide to Power Off" screen before it would kill it. Now it skips that step.

Do the new stores (App Store & iTunes Store) allow you to gift items? Right now you cannot do this from mobile, only from iTunes on a desktop.
