Thats pretty good, I did notice (which is one of the best updates ever) you no longer need to enter your password to update apps! And it no longer takes you to your homescreen, thank the Lord!

Now you say it! That is a great update!

Personally I think the new phone and music apps in those screenshots looks atrocious and out of place.

Agreed!

Plus, buttom tabs blend in with the music list, which makes quick glancing harder.

Can anyone confirm if they at least fixed this bug:

Select a "Songs" tab, pull down the list and do a search for any artist for example "Queen", then tap on "All Songs", OK now tap on the "Songs" tab again. When it's switching back you'll get a weird black bar animation at the top.

----------

The animation on the 'pull to refresh' in mail is delightful. It's hard to describe without showing you, but the rounded arrow icon stretches like a globule of gel as you pull it, until it can't be pulled any more and the globule string snaps back to the parent globule and it refreshes your email.

They should add it to Safari.

Another finally ... Bluetooth on/off from Settings without having to go into General :)

This is a step forward, but I really wish there was a way to customize this onto the home screen so there was no drill down at all involved.

Does anyone know if you can create video playlists on the iPad now? And are the video playlists on the iPhone/iPod Touch still stuck in the music app?

i have seen the text editing video from daniel hooper, i hope you all have, any sign of anything like this on the IOS6 beta??

I've had an iPhone since the beginning and I'm still waiting for an option to password protect my voicemails. Does anyone know if they added that option?

The UI inconsistency is really bugging me. You've got some really slick things like the new Music app, and you've got some really dated looking stuff like [see the 'choose wallpaper' ui at the top of this page], and then you've got everything in between.

Baffling how they can have so much consistency and elegance on the hardware side but the software is all over the place. From the screenshots I've seen nothing looks consistent. Yuck.

One other annoying thing is when you look at a single app then go back to the main store app listings the store takes you right to the top of the listings again. So if you were 4 pages into the apps you'd have to browse from the top all over again.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed? For example, go 3 pages into the top free apps and click an app to read its description. Then exit out of that description and see if you stay where that app was in the store listings or if the store takes you all the way to the beginning again. Also try this in the Genius listings too if you could be so kind.

Thanks

That was in iOS 5 also. ALWAYS bugged me!!!!

In some places you can quickly swipe through apps in the app store on iPad. Works with related apps, more apps by the developer and apps on the featured page.

just tried this real quick and it looks like it does go back to right where you left off! so that seems to be resolved now.

Tried this out and it seems to work like you want, you get done looking at an app go back to the list and you are right where you left off scrolling through the apps. I tried it in Genius to but it said, "Genius for Apps is currently not available on iOS6."

I heard you can now create folders in Notes and insert pictures. Is this true? What more can be done new in Notes?

Has anyone figured out what that snippet on the slide of the keynote that said "Made for iPhone hearing aids" means?

Siri dictates more now, (ie. she reads definitions aloud).

Has anyone figured out what that snippet on the slide of the keynote that said "Made for iPhone hearing aids" means?

I think they said at the keynote (don't know where else I'd have gotten this) but they will be partnering with (eh?) someone to make exclusive "made for iPhone" hearing aids... Or something to that extent.

Think "World of Goo" if you've ever played the game.

Exactly as I was describing it in my head as I was the reading the OPs description!

That's what I meant. iOS5 and iOS4.

Did you check both the regular browsing via top fee apps AND the Genius browsing listings? Also try it a few times because I remember sometimes it would stay nicely but mostly it wouldn't play nice.

EDIT: Saw your post about Genius. Thanks for checking btw.

p.s. As an additional feature that I don't think anyone has thought of is I'd actually like to be able to copy and paste app descriptions. I know most people probably wouldn't have a use for it but it can be handy when sending app info to friends or you need to translate sone descriptions in other languages.

Also, if you are in the middle of a sentence and decide to start dictatating with Siri, it used to add a period to the previous word ending that sentence... I'm thrilled to say it no longer does that and you may continue where you left off. This was a big pet peeve of mine.

Love the banners for turn by turn.

Wow! T4P!

Can you import cards you already have into passbook?

I'm sure at some point you'll be able to. It's "dead" as of now just as newsstand was in iOS 5. I assume we're waiting on devs and adaptation.

Don't know if anyone has noticed this but iOS 6 now has different menu bars (no not what your thinking, keep reading).

Here is "SchoolBook" (an iOS app for handling school schedules). You can pick the theme as seen in the attached images. Usually you change the theme and the Navigation bar (big bar with settings button at the top) would change (along with some other small differences). What's new here is the menu bar (small bar at the top displaying time and some other things) changes along with it. From what I recall in iOS 5 and below the menu bar wouldn't change.
