iOS 6 Beta 2: Current Bugs & Flaws Thread

Don't know if this is new, but in beta 2 when my iPhone gets a notification on the lock screen and it's inside my backpack, it turns on the screen INSIDE the backpack but very dim, and just when I take it out of my backpack to check the notification, it increases the brightness immediately. If I ignore the notification and never take it out, it doesn't power full brightness inside my backpack.

Nice touch.

My Apple TV2 won't wake up. It starts its screen saver and won't stop. The only way to wake it up is to press the play button a bunch of times, and if it does, I'm lucky. Does this happen to anyone else?

I wouldn't say that that is a bug, I think they have completely reworked the auto-brightness feature. Not sure if I like it however.

I had IOS 6b1 on my 4s and it worked pretty well. When I upgraded to b2 then I started to have a very strange problem. If I locked the screen and left the phone by itself for a period of time by the time I went to use it it the phone had shut off and wouldn't turn back on without a full restore. I restored it a few times and it keeps on happening. I'm going back to b1 for now.

Amazon have just updated the Kindle app to work with iOS 6 beta I know this is one of the major pains for some people. I've just tested and yes works perfectly for me

I would still recommend anyone stick to v3.0

It’s like they’re trying to push users away from reading on iPads. They keep wasting time on things like the 3.0 app (a fresh lick of paint on top of the old one, without any new features) the horrible 3.1 update, and yet they still don’t have the most basic features they need like left-aligned text, font choices or hyphenation, and now they have ruined the margins & UI. I recommend that anyone buying Kindle books strip the DRM to read them in iBooks. You lose the ability to sync with other Kindle devices, but the reading experience is so much better it’s not even funny.

Bugs for Music on iPhone 4S

When you rotated music to Album Artwork while music is playing, and after you rotated back, the screen crashed.

My usage times don't show anymore. They'll only show for a little while after a complete charge but when I woke up this morning, the times weren't there.

As mentioned already:

--Brightness / Auto Brightness does not work AT ALL

--Wi-Fi drops all connection MINIMUM once per day. Only way to connect to wi-fi again is to hard reboot

--Settings app freezes/won't open/crashes really, really frequently

All this on an iPad 3rd Gen. At first I did the over-the-air update, all these issues got me thinking about doing a Restore/Update while tethered. Did the latter, all of the above issues persist.

Wish I'd kept the Beta 1 that I downloaded. The Dev site doesn't have it anymore.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Haven't once seen the usage times. I'm using iPad 3

Has anyone else experience screen crashing after use?

I've been having ad hoc issues when going back to iPad shortly after I've locked the screen, eg when you forgot you wanted to check something else. I have to do hard restart of iPad by pressing down home key and power/lock button to get it to restart. Is this a known issue?

It might be a Facebook bug, but when you open Facebook and upload a picture, it takes about 20 seconds to open the camera roll - it gets there, just hangs for awhile...wasn't like it in Beta 1.

The reason I don't upload from the actual picture is because you can't upload to Mobile Uploads, only to a new iOS album (or your other albums), I like all my pictures to upload to Mobile Uploads!

It's an OS wide issue, not just with Facebook. The Camera Roll is slow to load when apps ask for access to it.

Ahh, I haven't noticed it with any other apps at all, only Facebook! It's fine on my iPad too

both me and my partner have been having issues with txts and phone calls,
we have sound turned on and when a call or txt comes in we sometimes don't get a sound.
this morning alone iv missed two phone calls because no sound played.

we are running beta 2, iPhone 4 and 4s

Happens because Springboard loves to crash in this beta, even in your pocket. Usage times reset whenever this happens and don't come back until you recharge.

I've been havin other random issues with the camera app too. When sending a pic thru iMessage it's been funky.

New Podcast app is really unreliable. Streaming podcasts is an almost futile experience, even on WiFi. Had to reboot to stop it from crashing, and even with downloaded podcasts it will rarely remember where I am.

But I can see it on my iPhone. Just reboot your phone once or reset your all settings.

Keyboard issues

The keyboard seems to be showing around 4cm up from the bottom of the screen now. Also a lot of web pages don't show correctly.

Sometimes when I leave the iPad alone for a while it doesn't wake up and I have to do a soft reset to bring it back to life, bit of a pain.
