since i have a feeling you might know after all the betas are done can you upgrade to iOS 6 public or are you stuck on betas till iOS 7

Of course you can. If there is a new build number, you'll get the update. So since the GM is usually the same as the public release, the build number will be the same and you won't need to update.

But say the GM is build number 10A1234 and the public release is 10A5678, you'll get notified of an update.

The new maps also have public transportation and walking options.

I know they do, but once you select an option on the top bar if you want auto-bus-walking then you have to start over if you want to select another means of transportation. In Google Maps, the bar is always there so it's only a click away.

All in all, we'll see what it turns out to be once it's publicly launched

Like I said, if there is a build number change from your current version, you will be notified. So yes, obviously there will be a build number change from the 1st public release to the second. If Apple makes a change to the OS, whether it be one bug fix or 50 new features, the build number is changed.

Can someone be so kind and post a link to the dev site I can't seem to find it. Thank you :)

Looks like a no-go for today as well?

It's not gonna be released at 1PM on the dot. It could be like yesterday where the GM was released after 5PM Eastern which is 3 hours and 20 minutes from now.

Anyone can access the above link, but you need a dev account to see the iOS 6 betas and documentation.
