i use a combo of ibackupbot or iexplorer and ifunbox to save and restore game save data when I start from new

If you're that anal about a little battery life spend $10 on a spare/car charger, don't use a god damn BETA, get a non smart phone.

Better yet, get a battery sucking Android then come back when you appreciate this things battery life!

My iPhone was really hot in my pocket this morning and when I took it out my pocket the screen was 'weird'; also battery went from 100% to 71% in the space of under an hour; could it be to do with the beta? Had no issues til now

we are just comparing the battery life of the beta as a couple of the betas have had drain issues with the battery why not take a chill pill and have a coke from the fridge

If You are thinking to load iOS 6 beta in your device, then it'll chances to get down with battery life. Some features will not work.

Turn off auto brightness and you will get about 15-25% more battery.

It's minimal and all that (except heaters) can simply be run by just the battery. Car heaters on the other hand do get the heat from the already existing heat of the engine that is runing for the purpose of driving. So there you have it.

...and the engine fills the battery via the alternator. so yes, headlights (and other consumers) use fuel
