If you note I wasn't asking, I said I hoped it would be today and why wouldn't developers be posting here? We aren't discussing the ins and outs of the beta and associated API's, just having a casual water cooler chat about when we hope / think the next beta is out.
I'm sure there are more than a few devs skulk around here and there is usually a palpable excitement amongst devs on Twitter any time the developer portal goes down.
and people with a life typically don't post here ruining other people's excitement.
Get over yourself. People can post what they want. If you don't like it, then don't use this forum, easy as that.

Whatever happened to being considerate of others and cooperatively using a community resource? :roll eyes:
I swim for my university's varsity swim team. I pee in the pool at least three times every practice, as do most of my teammates. Nobody is worse off for it.
Is the pool used by the general public? Would the chlorine in the pool neutralize it?

If we define "city" as a locality that has a population of at least 10,000, then there cannot possibly be a million cities in the world.
A million "cities" of 10,000 people each would be 10 billion people, more than the entire earth's population.

Cities with Population of 500,000 + : 1054
Cities with Population of 150,000 + : 2851
I haven't seen a single definition of a city that says it has to contain more than 150,000 people. I would guess the world has at least 100,000-200,000 cities.

I guess some of what you call cities, I would call towns or villages.
The usual definition (in the UK at least) is, if it has a cathedral, it's a city.
Yes, although that's a historical definition and no longer required to gain city status.
Apparently there's 69 "cities" in the UK:
