Try grabbing the update with only 3G then installing it with WiFi. I got the error when cchecking for it with WiFi but it found it when I tried with 3G.

I'm getting that as well at the moment. At least we know it's there now. :)

If you want a decent experience I'd just wait a couple of hours. Throw on a movie / get engrossed in work and let the flood of people dissipate.

I usually wait at least 8 hours on a major OS release day before trying to download it and usually up to a week on non essential devices (though some would argue I do the opposite here) and I typically give beta updates a few hours to let the crowd settle.

Common sense? Maybe... All I know is I have yet to have any update woes yet and 0 frustration, but I am a patient person...

In the new beta, when you go into the passbook app, there is a new "app store" button but when I click on it, it just says "cannot connect to the iTunes Store.

in the case of wifi only iPad i found this fix.

turn on wifi hotspot on your iphone
connect to it via your ipad
do software update check on ipad click download and install once it starts go to wifi setting and join your regular wifi hotspot and disable hotspot on iphone

getting Beta 4 on both my 4S and ipad 2 at same time this way

iphone is installing ipad is just starting install now

got it installed and its running great. Question though, I noticed an icon has been removed from my home screen. I can't figure out which one it was though, anyone have any clue?

well it is beta....

if its typically like the beta on iOS 4 and 5 expect 5 or 6 betas before the GM

ah thats what it was! youre right. I wonder why they did that :(

probably same reason they removed Google Map's, a breakdown in relationship between Apple and Google. (the lawsuits between the two aren't likely helping either)

There is no need for Youtube app since the webapp is great. Don't even remember last time apple updated it.
