Hey "developers":

The average Joe has access to something that you as a "developer" has access too. Get over it, you are not as cool as you think.

yes of course other people have access to it. Doesn't mean they should. Has nothing to do with being cool or not it has to do with getting apps done and ready for the time the the final version is released for public. When Joe Blow installs Beta then complains that his Angry Birds App doesn't work gets old. Not to mention when Joe Blow posts in Itunes how the App doesn't work. If you are concerned about an app working or not leave your phone on 5.1.1

So if you want to install it go ahead but don't whine if an App doesn't work properly with it. When the final release is ready your copy of Angry Birds will work

disclaimer "Angry Birds was just a example of App I have no idea how well that app works with ios6 nor do I care."

2) why would developers update an app to work with a beta... let alone the FIRSt

I don't know, maybe for something called regression testing? I realize for some developers testing is vastly overrated, but some exist who actually care about implementing a well tested quality app.

I also have the same problem and use Kindle daily. Could I convince you to email me a copy of the 3.0 version of the app? If so, kristycwoodard@gmail.com. Thanks!

How could I obtain an older version of the app to use?

Unfortunately if you have already upgraded then you may be out of luck. I upgraded on my devices first, realised it had broken it, deleted it and then reinstalled the older version from my MacBook Pro. However if you don't clear out your trash/recycle bin on your computer then version 3.0.1 will still be in there, so delete Kindle off any iPhones/iPads etc and move it from there into your itunes library replacing the newer version and then sync that older version to your devices. There would be no point me sending my copy as the fairplay DRM means it wouldn't work anyway, you need the old version for your account

i already addressed this dude, read the entire thread.

Sorry I didn't realize your first post was a BETA post and I should wait until I see your v2 version. Maybe you actually should have tested and QA'd item 2 in your beta post a tad more before releasing it.

Guys stop fighting, it's ridiculous. Here's a great reason to list all these incompatible apps:

I'm running iOS 6 and I run across an app that won't work and I'd like to know "what other apps won't work right now?"

I think it's a valid question so here's my input:

The Daily
Register app from Square
Facebook app won't let me post comment

From a developer standpoint it's always interesting to see which apps don't work with new iterations of iOS. It gives me a sense of their code and how closely they integrate into core components of the operating system.

Tiger Wood 12 constantly crashes on my 3rd gen iPad. I can't even get past the main screen.

I came in here to post the exact same thing after snagging it for 99cents on sale the other day.

Tiger Woods 12 works for me without crashing when I set it to Airplane mode (or otherwise prevent network connectivity). As soon as I turn off Airplane mode, it crashes.

why is this topic even open?
off course theres a high chance that apps wont work on the betas, because apple wont accept apps on the app store for iOS 6 till GM.
if people are posting reviews saying that the app doesn't work on a beta, are just dicks. and in the long run could cause damage for developers, if they are getting reviews saying the app is broken.

it doesnt worry me if a app isnt working, i would be more worried once we go GM and apps that have been updated for ios 6, are still not working

People should understand that apps written for the previous o/ s might not work on a beta. I list should only use as a warning not to run the beta if there is a app you meets is not updated yet. I do have some apps working find for me but other people are having issues.

Would someone be so kind and see how Stanza performs on iOS 6. In my opinion, it is easily the best ebook reader in the appstore.

Amazon bought the app and have abandoned it. When iOS 5 was released the app did not work. After many requests from users they recompiled the app for iOS 5 and released it with the caveat that "thats it" no more releases.

I'm really really hoping it will work with iOS 6. Buys us Stanza users another year.

Thanks.

I know Maps suck and all, but can someone kindly answer this question?

iOS 6 bug

My iPhone 4s with iOS 6 crashes every time I try to move an app over three or four screens. The app jumps back to the previous screen then reboots.

Yep, I just spent $4.99 on the ipad app since its so great on my iphone and i cant even get to past the main screen.

It's funny how itunes doesnt have a simple way you can request a refund for an app.
