Who thinks that Apple will finally implement live wallpapers in upcoming iOS 6?

nope. We've already seen iOS 6, remember? I'm sure there is a feature or two that they held back until the iPhone unveiling, but I doubt they could hide live wallpapers.

I don't really care either way, I wouldn't use them. If iOS ever starts using toggles/widgets, then I'd get excited.

Live Icons would be nice plus they could serve as pseudo widgets
The weather icon actually shows the weather and things like that.

Live wall papers are nice for a while but some are busier than others and you wind up turing them off.

They could even have it under the setting menu to turn on or off.
I don't see why the weather one doesn't show. The calendar changes dates. I guess they're going to say it's in the pull down tray now though but I rather just glance at the screen and see the temp and maybe if it's sunny/rainy(I don't have a window in my office)

usually i'd say make this an option, but no, no please for the love of god, no.

MR will be flooded with:

"why is my battery lasting 1 hour?"

stupid "feature"

only function it serves is draining your battery twice as fast.

Annoying pieces of artwork that hurt your eyes and make it hard for you to see your icons.
Ehhh, I've used them on previous Android devices and they don't put strain on your eyes or make it hard to see icons.. though I would still want it to be an optional feature.

Maybe Apple will introduce new widgets alongside iOS 6, like notification bar.

Don't count on it. There's been nothing like this in the betas and widgets wouldn't be a feature that would warrant exclusivity.

That's true. I don't think Apple's OS will ever have most of the Android extras or widgets. They do have the notification bar, which is pretty much a copy of Android's notification bar. They also integrated twitter like Android did, as well as reminders.... hmmmm

Highly doubt it, and highly unnecessary, especially considering there's so many other things that are far more important to fix and improve in iOS.

I don't really see a benefit in live wallpapers. They're just something to look at when you're bored.

Then whats the point of having a wallpaper if there are no benefit to having one? It's all for looks & personalization and I think Apple's OS lacks that in comparison to Android by far.

Apple likes keeping customization minimalistic and simple by not overdoing it with things like live wallpapers.

PCs doesn't use live wallpapers unless you actually give a -beep-.
