So weird. Had this issue on my 4S and my friends 4. We both updated to 6 today. Problem lasted for about 30 minutes after noticing it. Now, it's back up and running. That is odd.

Quick question, someone above me said they turned their HTTP proxy to auto to fix the issue. Should I do that anyway even though the issue seems to be fixed. Is it supposed to be off?

Fix

Hi Everyone...I too was having this issue and found this somewhere when I googled it. You have to go into General Settings and Reset and then Reset Network Settings. Your device will turn off and on again. Go back into your wifi and re-sign in. This was the fix for me and I've been on my wifi for 45 minutes now :) Hope that helps!

Forget network

I went in and "forgot" the network an then re added it and after a few minutes it worked just fine.... I know this has worked on at least two different phones.

Can no one read? Nothing you did on your idevice fixed it, it was all on apples side and they resolved it.

Apple did NOTHING. This is what worked for me:

These fixes being posted do not/did not work. It was coincidence that it worked because it ALL started working a few minutes ago. Prior to that, nothing worked to resolve it.

Fix worked for me!

1. Reset network settings.
2. Perform a hard reset on device (Hold Home and Power button down for several seconds until Apple logo reappears)
3. Re-join network.

I've tested it over and over by turning the phone on and off and toggling Airplane mode. It rejoins the network each time now without going to the login page.

People, stop posting your own "solutions". You didn't fix it. Either Apple somehow fixed it or it resolved on its own.

My iPhone has been stuck at a third of the way installed for a long time. Is this a problem?

I would not be setting it to AUTO. It was fixed on Apples side. I did not this this tip and now my WiFi is working.

No, the problem was fixed on Apples side. Nothing you did changed it.

don't try anything

it has been fixed by apple

Apple did not fix anything without an update. Apple does not control if we can connect at home or not.

By resetting the network settings and changing the proxy to AUTO that seems to have fixed the issue for most people.

Here's how I fixed it for now:
- Turn on airplane mode
- Go back
-Go to wifi, it should be off. Turn it on.
-Connect to your wifi network.
- Profit.

Fix for iOS 6 Wifi that Goes to Apple.com

Hello All - I had the same problem and found a fix - login to your iTunes account before trying to connect to Wi-Fi. You will be prompted to download a few updates as well:
- Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores
- Click on Apple ID at the top > View Apple ID
- Edit > Apple ID > enter password > Done
Once you've logged into your iTunes account, go back to Settings > Wi-Fi and connect.

LOL! that's whi it got fixed for the other 90% Whois didn't do that?

Or any other random "fix"?

It was on Apple side, it clearly was redirecting to an Apple web page!

I found the solution. Go to setting, general, network, turn of celular data. Go back to setting, connect to your wifi network. go to general, network and turn of the celular data. Solve my wi-fi problem.

this is how I fixed it.

I stood on one foot. crossed my fingers and kept them behind my back well I ate dinner. by the time I was done eating it was fixed! :D

but for real I tried EVERY single thing you people are listed well it was still down and nothing worked. I finished eating dinner and it resolved itself. apple fixed it. stop posting your "fixes"

Wrong.
I did nothing on my end and it resolved itself.
