They're about twice as fast.

I'm surprised they didn't mention it in the keynote.

iPad Air

2x CPU
2x GPU
2x animation speed
Lighter
Thinner

:D

They didn't because the animation are still there as they were before.
They only gave an option to crybabies so they dodn't get motion sickness.

loving the reduced animations.
better than a long drawn out zoom, but nicer than a fast screen change.

Just because the option is in 'accessibility' doesn't mean it's only for people that get motion sickness.

I didn't mind the slow zoom animations but I much prefer these new ones.

Oh look, options!

The one you see when you open or close folders, unlock the phone, open/close apps, etc.
It's what some people have been complaining about...
Some people apparently have had motion sickness because of them, believe it or not.
It doesn't matter who might believe something or not, reality is reality (whether or not people choose to ignore it).

I don't know why everyone says their phone is slow. My iPhone 5 is lightning fast with animations on. It's as fast as iOS 6. No different. My wife's the same. I think people are having issues with something else.
I disagree, my iPhone 5 is not as fast as iOS 6...it's faster! :D
majority????
I'm not sure about that
The majority like it.:p
I don't like Parallax but I do like zooming. I guess I have to suffer now too.
I like both, but, they should offer more customization because of so many winers.
How many threads about animations do we have to see ? :(
the more ppl buy iPhones the more chance some won't like changes to it.

Dang, at least Apple doesn't make major changes to iOS as often as zuckerberg changes his social network...WEEKLY

What's the parallax effect? I tried turning it on and off and didn't notice any difference for 702 at least
