Great. I hope it stays this way.

How easy/difficult is it to download the beta?

Can't advise about doing that on here as it is prohibited - but I can tell you that it's the first beta so the software is quite buggy, not worth downloading and installing just for the dark keyboard.

Just discovered this... When you have Flash on AUTO a little symbol appears to tell you that the flash will be used if you take this photo. It will disappear when it doesn't require the flash. Can't remember seeing this in previous releases.

Two question, i hope someone can answer them :)

1.How many betas do .X updates usually get? I ask this question in order to estimate the final release.

2.Does 7.1 improve battery life and overall fluidity for anyone?

You are correct - noticed this last night. It is indeed new in 7.1

Ah, right I see. Had no idea that it was prohibited. Thanks.

Guess I'm going to have to wait.

4 or 5, but no one knows for sure. Will likely be released around early January.

Yes, iOs runs much smoother now on my iPhone 5. Not sure about battery life yet but seems pretty solid so far.

Anyone with an iPad Air able to stream their iTunes in the Cloud content(particularly videos)? With 7.03/7.04, I haven't been able to stream purchased content on it. Though it works with my iPad 3 and iPhone 5.

I use iPhoto for my pictures. When you add a pic to an album on your PC/MAC and then sync your phone with iTunes. The new pic isn't brought over to the iPhone.

Anyone else notice this?

For whoever said to google native tones and dl them and add via iTunes I can't find them.

is it just me.. or does "darken colors" do nothing at all?

Also, 7.1 seems to have fixed a bug where the music app would crash when deleting songs. About time, it was really annoying.

Not sure if this has been posted before, so excuse me if it has.
When you press the little "X" to clear notifications, it's no longer inside a pill shaped thing- it just changes to the word Clear now

The only change i've noticed when you enable Darken Colours, is in the iTunes Store where the labels/text are a darker shade of blue. This is not the case with the App Store, so i guess its work in progress.

Edit: Actually, on closer inspection it darkens all the navigation labels too. When you enable it, have a look at the '< Accessibility' navigation label and watch it subtly change.

Ahh, I see it now.. very subtle. I would imagine you're right with it being a work in progress though.

Reduced bounce back effect when sliding the camera upp from the lock screen then slamming it back down. Now matches the bounce back effect of notification center which has been tweaked a bit to.

Yeah, noticed that as well. It also doesn't really animate the change, just sort of fade from one to the other.

Definitely good advice in general.

In the case of this particular beta, aside from a few issues--all/most of which might not even really matter at all or much to at least some if not quite a few people--it seems fairly stable and good (so far).

iOS 7.1 Beta 1 Bug Fixes and Changes

Is it possible now to delete whole albums at once and adding all songs of an album at once to a playlist? This used to be feasible in pre 7 iOSs.

iTunes radio is a mixed bag for many including myself. Starring a song for the Beatles for example just makes it play that same Beatles song every once in a while. Instead of being smart and saying...hey he might like to hear a couple more Beatles songs here and there.

Also on my 5S and my iPad 4 the music app likes to crash the entire device back to the apple logo if the radio hasnt been used in a while. Regular music doesnt seem to crash. Adding a station also makes it crash regularly (7.0.4).

I think people arent noticing this either because they dont use iTunes radio or they just use it for a short time. But for anyone using it for hours at a time, going away, then coming back makes it crash. Restoring, setting up as new does nothing. Its Apples problem to fix.

iTunes Radio is my drug now. Haven't had it crash though. The only time it crashes is when I edit a playlist (iTunes Match on). I do agree about the whole playing more similar songs instead of playing that specific song.

noticed 2 things (not sure if these have already been noted):

- Turning on reduce motion removes the bounce effect individual messages had in the messages app

- No option for auto-HDR on the 4S

I use iTunes Radio for hours at a time and have my iPhone 5 plugged into a Bose dock while doing so. No crashes at all. Only issue I have is regardless of the station you pick, the same songs will get played a little too frequently for my taste from time to time.
