You should go away and walk sometimes, apple is not really Lexus anymore. I would say without Jobs it is broken Lexus ...

----------

Absolutely, iphone 5s for sure is my last iphone. iPad crashing is very upsetting. I love my MBPR however.

----------

as many times as I like

----------

Again you are in 5 years old world in your head, not anymore and especially after Jobs is gone.

Not just Safari, lately it was lots of system restarts with apple logo. It is time to fix iOS7 or admit that we have hardware issues in latest devices. Apple should not stay quiet for so long, iOS7 needs update badly and not for Chinese fonts or some other cra. as they normally do!!!

----------

Sorry, but neither app should cause restart iPad Air, that is pretty much as blue screen on Windows 95 we use to have. It is crap.y OS that could allow such things or maybe hardware issues apple should finally admit to the public and start recalls to fix them for free.

I own all possible apple devices since ipods about 8 years ago, neither are behaving like one running on iOS7, also first ipad I wish to sell because of issues after owning all ipad models besides very first one.

Ok, go ahead and sell your iPad and get a Android/Windows Tablet and let's go ahead and close out this thread. I just hope whichever platform you choose to go with does not let you down.

FWIW we have iOS 7 running on 2 iPhone 5's, 1 ipad mini, 1 iPad 2 at home and none of those devices are giving us trouble.

because safari crashing issue appears on A7 devices...

Look, I'm not saying the problem does not exist. I know of at least 3-4 people who have a iPhone 5S and none of them have reported Safari crashing issues which leads me to believe this problem is not a massive problem.

I have talked with Apple genius and he said that a lot of people comes to their service center and complains about safari crashes and resprings, especially on iPad air. On my iPhone 5s in one month period i get about 3-6 safari crashes a week and so far got only one time respring.... :/

That sucks sorry to hear that.

My iPad air has crashed a few times...my iPhone hasn't at all.

Not a big deal to me. Animation stutter is though.

Yes really. All of a sudden every tech blog picked up this story over night.
The only thing notable in the story is that Apple finally acknowledged it and a fix is coming.

The root issue has been well known and common.

Yes it seems to be very well known. Rest assured if Apple publicly acknowledges it, it is probably bigger than we know. Hopefully this means 7.1 is about to be released. I suspect hey would continue to keep it quite until a fix is really close to be available. 7.1 b4 seems to be working really well so maybe next is release version!

I really hope that's the case. I've not bothered with any of the betas - I'm on 7.0.4 - but I'm very excited about 7.1. I can deal with a few issues on my 5s but my retina iPad mini has been pretty awful from day one with regard to performance and stupid bugs.

Yeah and its unfortunate that folks who got their first iDevices for Christmas or anytime since release have not been able to experience the Apple of past. The iPads especially have suffered since iOS7. So when they update to 7.1 it appears so far that they will finally get to see the real experience of how it should be and used to be.

We certainly hope that's the case, although it's still somewhat questionable whether or not 7.1 will really address everything (hopefully it will, or at the very least most of it).

Sorry? It crashes (with total Air reboot) about one time a day and bit better on 5s. I am not even counting Safari crashes, it is nothing to me. Last time i saw my 5s reboots while charging seating on table doing nothing besides f...g charging!
It is time to fix it or admit hardware/design issue, Apple can't hide it anymore.

Seems like something along those lines is happening: https://www.macrumors.com/2014/01/22/apple-ios7-crash-fix/
