Can't wait to see of it helps Safari on the ipad to stop crashing, would lose my jb for that.

It does - see my reports. I'll post a more detailed one, incl. 64-bit RAM usage figures, soon.

However, the improvements, IMHO, aren't worth losing the JB. I personally don't upgrade my 7.0.6 rMini. f.lux and the other tweaks are far more useful than a more stable Safari. I can live with Safari's crashing once or twice a day.

iTunes on my computer doesn't shows iOS 7.1, it still shows 7.0.6. I don't care because I'm not planning to upgrade, just curious.

Yeah, I'm torn with it, but I guess Color Profiles, CCControls makes up for it on my iPad.

Easy fix for the safari crashing.... Use chrome! I won't upgrade to lose the jb not that I have that much installed

Chrome on a desktop yes fantastic but on mobile it sucks. I find Safari loads a little faster and operating is smoother than Chrome. Also getting to bookmarks on Chrome takes 2 clicks which is very annoying. And another thing...on the iPad with Chrome you need to hit the back button to go back a page. Not sure why Google didn't code in the swipe to go back like Safari.

that's probably because all third party web browsers on iOS lack the faster JIT javascript engine except safari

Nitrous or iWebBoost might help with this as they give other third party apps access tot he faster JIT javascript engine

I'm using Dolphin. Much better than Safari or Chrome I think.

Also have iWebBoost installed too.

Is 7.1 worth losing jailbreak ?

I would say no but that all depends on how much you value a jailbreak

according to Menneisyys, it's not worth losing JB

stability is much better...and honestly its gotten to where there are only a couple of reasons to jb for me anyway, bitesms and f.lux...

I'm on iOS 6.1 - jailbroken. I've got about 50+ tweaks. I'm stable with no battery issues and I'm not stock.

There seems to be lots of people for whom jailbreaking is less and less of an issue. Frankly, I'm not overly impressed by Apple's implementation of new things - especially when they still limit me. The camera roll being one example. You still can't make albums and move photos to them and delete them from the camera roll when stock.

So, for me I will probably always jailbreak, because someone always seems to have a tweak that makes it either better or the way I think it should be and not Apple.

only reason why i wont update to 7.1 is because i need to have flux on my phone! have it on my mac as well.

As another astute member of these forums wrote yesterday:

"Is it worth is to jailbreak?"

On the iPhone: Definitely.
On the iPad: No.

I agree.
My iPhone will stay on 7.0.6 as long as I can/dare.
My iPad is going to 7.1

iOS 7.1 released

I would definitely agree with the iPad jailbreak not as critical as the iPhone one. I did however update both devices to 7.1. Only thing I needed a jailbreak was tetherme, movie/music box, pandora skips and ipa cracker.

None are critical for me to have and I get movie and music box from zeusmos anyway.

I can get free tethering with the 2 android devices I have and I can live with a normal pandora app

To me at least the performance and new features of 7.1 at this point made me curious enough to try it out and risk never seeing a jailbreak for a while

Hey if you don't mind me asking what hack do you have installed to move pics, make albums and delete photos?
I also don't get why we are not given the 'privilege' to delete and do what we want with our pics:)
