What kind of iOS 6 were you using? That's been there as long as I can remember.

This is what it looks like for me:

Anyone know the best method of downgrading back to iOS 6?

Do a clean install and don't restore from backup or do a clean install completely.

There is several threads on this. But, what has worked for me is to DFU the device and let iTunes do the restore. All you need to do is follow the bouncing ball. An iPhone 5 will first pull 6.1.3, then upgrade to 6.1.4. Restoring app history and data is problematic. My experience has been that I lost app data and histories, but others have not.

That is not muted, you just turned the volume down. Use the mute switch.

i believe that's different--silent in relation to the ringer, vs muted in relation to sound.

Yes, this is correct. I just did what the original poster said he did to get that image--turn the volume down. I don't know what turning off the ringer looks like in iOS 7, but in 6 it doesn't look like that image either. It's a bell with a slash through it.

There is a new personal hotspot notification for the lock screen... The status bar turns blue. I wish they do that for the home screen too... That Double bar is soooo annoying... And it interrupts all other apps...

I think it's because they have the slightly larger status bar on the lockscreen now (which I dislike). It gives them room for the hotspot icon including the number of connections. I don't know if that little icon would come accross well on the regular sized status bar.

I noticed something today that I haven’t noticed before, so let me know if I’m just oblivious.

My iPad mini is on beta 4 and last night I noticed that if I plug it in to charge and its on the Lockscreen, the screen stays on till I hit the lock button. It works well as an alarm clock for my night stand but I’ve never noticed it do that before.

Has anyone noticed the new Siri commands for iTunes Radio?

"Play xxx Radio"
"Play more like this"
"Never play this song"

Don't know if this has been pointed out but apple still has an image to update.

Under icloud settings it still shows a stock ios 6 homescreen image.

I thought that was mainly happening to those who simply downgraded to iOS 6 by using the "Upgrade" method in iTunes to try retain their iOS 7 data and settings.

I was wrong. I restored to iOS 6 and I 've noticed my notifications have been a little...off. Twitter is the most noticeable other apps do have it but not as much.

Didn't read through all the comments, but is anyone else having issues with the App Store on iPhone 5? All my purchases are showing up twice and it's telling me I have to update apps when I really don't. A reboot fixes it temporarily but it never fails to happen again after a few minutes of use.
Did you try signing out of the App Store?

I thought apps werent allowed to release ios 7 compatibly until public release?

They probably meant they fixed bugs on iOS 7 and that's fine. What they can't do is use any iOS 7 API's before the public release, if I remember correctly.

I was looking thru some older screenshots and I found one from beta 1 and when I put it side by side with beta 4 I noticed that somewhere between b1-b4 Apple tweaked the home screen layout as you can see in the picture below. I prefer the new layout.

Is there a difference besides the icons being shifted up a little bit?

Well the other one that's been mentioned here is the font and I think they tweaked the color of the badges. But all these changes made a pretty big difference. It was interesting to see them side by side.

Don't know if this was there already but playing explicit songs shows an "e".

Tapping the artist name in control centre when music is playing takes you to the music app.

Which one is which there? And what is the actual tweak?

Here's a side by side of b1 and b4 that shows some of the design changes made to the icons that have been noted on here before. Also the tweaks in the color of the badges. Looks like they brightened it up a bit.
