I've had horrible battery life too. Beta 1 and 2. And honestly, if the location icon is showing frequently on your status bar without opening an app that uses location then it's most likely eating at your battery but I think the big culprit is the actual beta. I would have gone back to 6.1.4 by now but the changes are so dramatic that I would much rather start getting used to it now than later.

My battery life actually got drastically better with Beta 2. Hmmmm. Weird. My phone also doesn't heat up like it did with Beta 1. I wonder why yours isn't any better. So weird.

Welp. Tomorrow I will be back in iOS 6. Cause iOS 7 SUCKS! ..........LOL no jk jk

iOS 7 is awesome, amazing, and FANTASTIC! But I think tomorrow I'll go back to iOS 6 and wait for the next beta, and upgrade IF it seems that there are new things I should check out! Reason Im not doing it today is because...well tomorrow Im going out and I need to show it off to my friends ;) Whats the point of a new sexy iOS without showing it off.

Found another bug...this was on beta 1 as well but found it again on beta 2. When you take a video by accessing the camera from the lockscreen the phone locks itself after about thirty seconds and consequently ending the video. I'm on an iphone 5

For me the battery life in b2 is exactly 20% less in the same environment for the same amount of time and use. Better than b1 by 10%. Obviously Apple isn't done optimizing it.

Try resetting all settings and see what happens.

Here's what the battery life looks like on my 5

The artist category of your iPod now shows HQ profile photos from the artists iTunes profile, even if you haven't added them. Makes it look very clean and official. I love it.

Everyone seem to have iOS 7 on their iDevices already by now. LOL!

I haven't seen this noticed but the iTunes Store icon has changed between beta 1 and beta 2.

Personally, this was my only major issue with the icon redesign and glad to see some optical considerations have been taken into account. It also shows that this element of the UI is certainly not finished yet which should please some...

I really wish the folder window that appears when you tap a folder on the iPad was a little bigger. All that screen space to only look at 9 apps. The iPhone I understand, but on the iPad, there is no reason to waste all that extra space.

one thing that bothers me is the solid-ish dock color which when using certain wallpapers (like the bundled space/stars one) looks like a horrible blue blob.

how was it in beta1? hopefully they will put some transparency on it.

is there a hidden 16:9 photo mode, i can't seem to take "widescreen" pictures as advertised all over the place, they are still 4:3.

Week Numbers?

Does iOS 7 have week numbers available like 10.9?

You might have to switch them on in Settings.

Well, when an OS is so 'sexy' that you feel the need to show it off to your friends you learn two things:

1- You clearly don't understand what's the purpose of an OS;
2- The software design/engineering team screwed up badly.

:D

The photo frame button on the lock screen is gone.

That's a shame, I knew a lot of people who liked that.

What do you mean it's gone? There is an icon of a camera on the bottom right hand corner you can still swipe up to access the camera app.

The photo frame button. Little picture of a flower on the old Slide to Unlock bar. Started a slideshow immediately, made the iPad like an electronic photo frame.

Nothing to do with the camera, lock screen access to the camera on the iPad is new in iOS 7.

Does the option still exist in Settings? Picture Frame has it's own top level group in iOS6...

:( I never really used it but it was a nice feature to have

Yeah me neither but I know a lot of elderly folk who liked to have it scrolling through when they weren't using it.

It's not a huge deal as you can still do slideshows from within the Photos app but with a lot of these folks the less buttons and menus to get to their photos the better.
