iOS 7 Beta 2 - App Failure List

It's my guess that anything that didn't work on beta one likely won't work until the developers themselves ravamp the app.
 
The bad:
- Skype, no dice :(
- f5 Edge VPN client, sadly I can't live without it
- PVZ nada

The good:
- Display definitively looks better, more contrasty. It doesn't need too much brightness as before, I bet is made on purpose, just to save battery due to the almost all white interface.
- Instagram works, no issues. No grey images
- CNN App works, no issues either

Back to 6.1.4. Maybe I'll try clean installing B2 in the weekend, but until those apps work, I can't use it.

Love the fixes, though:cool:

Regarding Skype, IM+ Pro supports it. I've found 2 places that say IM+ Pro works great in Beta 2.
 
Tweetbot for iPad doesn't work on first-time setup. It doesn't detect account set up in settings and fails to request token for manual sign in. It works if you restore from backup though.

While the onus is on the app developer to update their apps to be compatible with new OS releases, it's not always the case that whatever broke is on the app's side. If the new OS introduces bugs in the API's, etc. that the app uses, bugs very well may get resolved from beta to beta without an update from the app's developer.

Before it would crash only when playing a Podcast, and upon relaunching it'd have it playable via "Now Playing" ... but after adding a Podcast from the store, it no longer relaunches and just hangs forever.

Damn, I assume Navigon USA still does too then. I was hoping to be able to use this on my daily device, but I need Navigon :(
 
The following apps all now work for me on a 4S having previously failed on Beta 1 . . .

Ancestry
Anodia
Boost 2
Eurosport
F1 Live 24
Shazam
Skill Game
Wild West Pinball
WindUp Knight

Unfortunately I've noticed quite a few Game Center problems with other apps, however.

I wish I could disable it as I personally never use it.

BBC iPlayer - Can't get any content to play (might be problem at my end)
Connect Poker - Game Center glitch, often White Screen after Startup
FS5 Hockey - Game Center glitch, often White Screen after Startup
Pinball Arcade - Now loads but flippers don't work
Pong World - Game Center glitch, often White Screen after Startup
Score - Was fixed with update on Beta 1, now often White Screen after Startup (Game Center glitch)
Shock-X - Game Center glitch, often White Screen after Startup
Skype - overall works ok, but crashes when opening recents list and messaging
Tap Tap 4 - Game Center glitch, often White Screen after Startup - can't get in to check if game save data still lost
TED - GUI layout issues
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 - Game Center screen hangs at bubbles
TuneIn Radio - Favourites fixed by update during Beta 1 are now random again
Word Warp- Was working on Beta 1, now often White Screen after Startup (Game Center glitch)
Yelp - works fine except that you can't add Photos from the Camera Roll
YouTube - seems to work except for the "share" options. When clicked, nothing happens.
Zynga Poker - Automatically entering a game and controls unresponsive

Quite a few people reported problems with these apps on the Beta 1 thread. I haven't removed them yet, but will if someone else has the same experience as you with no troubles - cheers.

I've had quite a few work now that didn't before.

I've also had some exhibit a different incompatibility, for example, the numerous Game Center glitches / hangs.

Unsurprisingly there's also a small number that used to work and currently don't.
 
I find that Find My iPhone works longer in Beta 2 than it did in Beta 1. Beta 2 allows me to see the phone's location for a few seconds. It would crash sooner in Beta 1.
 
The Marvel Comics Unlimited app does not work on the iPhone in Beta 1 or 2. It crashes immediately upon opening. Can anyone confirm whether or not it works on iPad?

If that's the one that recently offered a load of free comics, I downloaded it out of curiosity at the time and it's working fine for me.

Tweetbot works fine on my iPhone 5, but says it's corrupted on my iPad 4 when trying to log in.

That might be the Comixology app or the Marvel Comics app. The one I'm referring to is called "Marvel Comics Unlimited." It's a little different. If you have a chance to try it out please let me know.
