Weight Watchers - Both Beta 1 and Beta 2.

You can't select a quantity of the food you are entering into the tracker. Normally you get a three scroll box that lets you enter in say:

1 | 1/2 | Cups

Now you only get 1/2 | Cups, the first scroller for selecting the "whole" amount of an item is missing, pretty much rendering the application useless.

Not surprising though, the WW app is pretty poor all together and updates are very few. (It was just about a month ago it finally got updated to use the extra screen real estate provided by the iPhone 5)

I have noticed this behavior in Safari and Chrome as well with "scroll downs", i.e. when filling out a form with name and address, the "state" drop down will just be blank.

USA Today.

Worked fine for Beta 1. With Beta 2 it opens and loads the current news, but crashes if I try to scroll down.

Wondering if anyone else has had trouble with audiobus, it doesnt show any apps when trying to use, not that the app will pretty much matter with ios7 having interapp audio.

The setup process doesn't work. It works on his iPhone 5 because he upgraded most probably. I tried copying its settings over from another iPad but it says my tokens have expired and ultimately gives the same error. I'll really miss Tweetbot, any good alternatives?

i didn't get an upgrade for my iPhone 5...ugh. i miss. i wish i knew a good alternative.

It's my guess that anything that didn't work on beta one likely won't work until the developers themselves ravamp the app.

That little fact is why I find this whole thread to be amusing.

This isn't public release software. It was put out for these developers to get their stuff ready for said release. Of course stuff is not going to work given that none of them have updated yet.

Even in the developer T&C there are warnings that many third party apps will stop working properly and to not install the betas on your daily use device etc.

So why the FUDish threads about iOS 7 'breaking' apps

Don't know if anyone else is having this particular issue, but on my iPhone 4S whenever an app tries to access the camera, the screen goes black and I'm sent back to home screen.

Vine, Instagram, Twitter, VSCO, any app. Other than that smooth sailing.

I've had problems with the camera in VSCO and Evernote.

. . . why the FUDish threads about iOS 7 'breaking' apps

I've got no idea what FUDish means, so thankfully can't be insulted. ;)

As the thread starter, I've never stated the iOS 7 was "breaking apps". In fact if you read my posts, I acknowledge that throughout the process some apps will not work, be fixed, others that worked in Beta 1 may not now etc.

I also acknowledge that developers take differing approaches to this. Some like to try to fix as they go along. Others wait until near the end for more stable OS builds.

The purpose of this thread is to allow the forum members who choose to, to have a place to list their personal observations.

If that feedback subsequently assists particularly the one-man-band developers or conversely offers forum members information to determine whether they can use iOS7 as a "daily runner" then it's all good.

We've already had a few on this thread and the previous one saying, "oh so there's an issue with XXX app, in that case I couldn't possibly run the beta on my main device as I use XXX all the time".

It's the kind of thread I personally find useful and I hope there's others out there that do too.

You can't please everyone though eh?

That's strange, I've never had a problem with this app. Have your tried again after closing the app / device reset etc?

My Google Maps no longer works in b2 - it says something like 'cannot contact server' when searching or routing.

It worked fine in b1. I deleted the app and reinstalled / rebooted, same problem.

Bummer.

Vine won't load any videos for me, Instagram working just fine however. Pulse News is glitchy and has trouble rendering the news feed initially and you aren't able to see any of the boxes

whatsapp has keyboard problems.

have to click the chat window to retrieve the keyboard, then type the message box for it to appear again.

No problem with Google maps for me.

But i still have problems with podcast : it still crashes as in B1.

EDIT : now Podcast works : i had to erase everything but from setting (not by just erasing the app) and to redownload all the podcasts.

Upgraded from B1

-Google Authenticator fails to hold settings, have to keep adding my sites.

-Turboscan (black screen)

- Goodplayer, can't download off the network

Jump Desktop: password prompt doesn't work - no text area is visible, and the keyboard doesn't come up. Just a blank alert box with Cancel/OK. Workaround is to save the password directly in the host info (slight security risk).

apps with issues with me on iphone 4s on ios 7 beta 2:

the music app (i have match on) seems to stop working and playing songs at random intervals needing to push play again and seems skippy and laggy at times such as when switching apps; repeat song does not work

sometimes pictures do not show in the Mail app

google+ crashes on click-up as others noted

contacts sometimes change names and contact photo positioning without provocation

instagram often crashes

sometimes youtube doesnt load properly

skype crashes

getglue sometimes crashes

Also if you click import sim contacts, and click an accout Settings will lock up

It seems more stable than beta 1 otherwise.

Also somewhat unrelated; the animations are still a bit laggy compared to iOS 6.

For Google Drive, and other editors based on it, I can't get any Office documents to show. It just gives me a blank screen.
