Double tap the home button to show the time :).

That does nothing for me. Shows the song info still. Kinda odd.

Double tapping for time doesn't work for me either.

On a 4S the layout is now somewhat cleaner in that you have the music controls at the top, just below the status bar and the album cover below it.

Strange thing is though, there is enough room for the clock as there is simply a gap between the WiFi indicator and the battery info.

Seems like a glitch to me that'll be resolved.

Other thing I noticed is that the album art overlaps with both the Slide To Unlock and the camera icon. Makes them more difficult to see on a white album cover like the one I had chosen to play.

EDIT:

On another note, apologies but iPhone Safari doesn't let me search the thread to check whether this is mentioned previously.

Safari is far more unstable for me on Beta 2.

It's crashing a lot unfortunately as I'm sure others have noticed already.

Idk if we had this on beta 1 but we can now add an app to our wishlist by tapping the action/share button. We could see the wishlist in beta 1 but as far as I remember we couldn't do this.

One more. As far as I can see, status bar has the most problems.

ok, so i updated my iphone 4s from ios7 beta 1 to beta 2 through OTA.... what can i say... i think this beta have even more bugs than beta 1 hahaha

*music player crash time to time, other apps too (twitter, chrome, facebook)... it's just how it happened to me when i used to have a Nokia N8, open to many apps, device out of RAM, get stuck and then, CRASH!

example: on twitter, clicking a link the app begin to load and crash... re open the app, try to do the same thing and crash again. open the multitask, close twitter, re open it, try to open the link and it would work fine.
i'm still thinking that is a memory management issue or something like that.

*in some cases when i'm using an app and i want to "invoke" the control center or the notification center, swiping from top or bot do nothing, i mean yes it scrolls the page of the app that i'm using but doesn't bring any center, i have to go to the homescreen then back to the app and if i have luck swiping will work.

those are ones of the bugs that i most often have to deal with.

PD: sorry about my english.

Not sure if this is new but I don't remember this in iOS6 or iOS7 beta1

Siri asks you how to pronounce a name that is in your contacts.

i.e. it asks how to pronounce my wife's first and last name when I ask siri "who is my wife?"

Better than having to phonetically spell it out in contact card.

It would be great if it actually remembers how to pronounce your name. I told it my name was pronounced "Rees" rather than "Rye-s" (My name is Rhys) and it immediately said:
"Thank you *Rye-s*. From now on, I will pronounce it *Rees* Morgan"
I raised an eyebrow to this and asked if who I was, to which it replied:
"You're *Rye-s*. At least, that's what you told me..."

Beta bug, it'll be sorted by GM :)

How many people did a clean restore install of beta 2?

I didn't. I hate loosing game saves and othe app stuff. I see some improvements in the battery. Less bugs than before but still a few bugs. Autocorrect was the biggest issue since it "fixed" words in the worst way possible.

If you're listening to music via spotify, you cannot answer a call. The screen becomes unresponsive. However this doesn't always happen so I guess its a once in a while type of bug.

Also, if you're on a call and hit the lock button to put the screen to sleep to conserve battery, the screen becomes unresponsive. You can only turn it on/off but not unlock or use the keypad.

Regular use is restored when the other person hangs up.

I'll say this... Battery life on Beta 2 is incredible compared to Beta 1. I've been using my phone most of the day and I'm only down to about 80%.

Same here, i'm back to my regular charging routine and the phone could last a full day on normal use :)

It at least remembers how YOU pronounce it.

My girlfriend is Sepi (an Iranian name) and Siri would pronounce, phonetically, it as Seepee. When I asked Siri "where's Sepi?" or "tell Sepi x", it would have no idea who I was talking about and often started searching the web for "City". Now at least I have been able to teach the phone how it is pronounced so that I can use the name in voice commands. Phew. Much better.

But yeah...it still pronounces it incorrectly.

I find safari the most stable app on my 4S. Much improved from beta 1.

Agreed. For some reason I'm not having any of the issues I had in b1. I've even enabled some of the Location items (traffic, Frequent Locations).

Has anyone noticed this?

Open Safari and put it into Landscape mode. While in Landscape, double click to stop the app running. Go to portrait and home screen and the wallpaper disappears goes black. Wallpaper comes back when when phone locked and slide to open.
