Doubt they will change anything really as the promo material is already up and running on the Apple page

They have to have a trick or two up their sleeve for the public release, dont you think?

And by "you" I mean this community, not specifically whom I quoted.

I don't think its reliable for daily use.

Crashes often and reboots on its own frequenly on my iPhone 4S

I wish I could replicate many of the crashes but I can't so its difficult to report them as bugs.

Also I'm super annoyed that I have no way of rating my music.
Also the shuffle button doesn't make any sense. I cna't tell when its on shuffle or not.

The icons we saw in WWDC, will the icons for iOS7, no change until iOS8. That is the saddest thing.

I hope they eventually improve the iPod app.
I want to be able to skip forward when it is on Shuffle in landscape mode.
Also the ability to tag songs that I am listening to on shuffle to make a new playlist on the go.

The iPod App has TONS of areas it could be improved upon

I'd also like to be be able to rate the songs out of 5 stars again in ios 7 and be able to sync that back with itunes on my mac.

I like iOS 7 so far. Definitely feeling some pains of pre-release software, but that's to be expected. Honestly, though, I'm a bit underwhelmed - it mainly feels like a graphical refresh, not a lot of fundamental improvements beyond some overdo niceties like quick toggle wifi/bt.

Interesting that new UI got the most votes in the iOS 7 hopes & wishes thread.

Three things I'd like to see in Beta 3:

- dots back on monthly calendar view

- the titles of movies showing in the video app ala iOS 6

- the memory buttons on portrait calculator mode

I'm actually getting used to the icons, which I can't really explain, but I am.

D.

Welcomed. There are lots of stability issues, moreso with the second beta. Lots of crashes with Music, Mail, Camera, and other 3rd party programs.

Don't remember this much trouble with iOS6 betas.

Icon or any visual change will probably come in beta 6/7 whichever close to GM.
Still won't bother to use the beta now, let other people test it and report bugs to apple

They'd just silently update the promo materials. They haven't actually committed to anything just by showing us what they've shown us. Most people won't notice any changes, and those who do notice are likely to receive them positively (if the refinements are good).

And anyway, no credible designer or technologist worth listening to shares the ignorant and hyperbolic opinions of the icons of your average Macrumors poster. They're not my cup of tea - I'd like the pastels toned down a bit, but they'll do for now.

This just makes sense... Apple doesn't seem to be listening though. It's absolutely frustrating that play count and other things don't sync back to iTunes on your Mac.

That is not a bug. I think you might have misunderstood the point of alpha/beta testing. I hope you don't send your food back to the chef because the art on the walls of the restaurant is bad.

So you're saying Apple have never changed the look of icons or the interface in previous betas?

Exactly, the icons are not their priority now. I'm sure they'll change/refine at least some icons, but there are many other more important things to improve/fix until then.

Apple follows Agile development. With Agile, you have 2 or 3 week iterations depending how fast you can code, test, and release. This allows for faster release cycles for users (be it internal or external users).

Hence why most beta updates are released every 2 weeks with iOS.

I was having a lot of Random Reboots upon unlocking the screen. Animations seemed slow and a lot of the Title Bars would overlay previous ones especially in Text Messages and become unreadable.

I reverted back to iOS 6.1.4.
