So you think I was averaging almost 22mph on a bicycle do you?

Ha - I checked the math not the logic![]()
22mph avg isn't remotely fast for a bicycle. Why would that break logic?
The beginners at the last crit I was at were averaging 26.

You clearly know nothing about cycling.
22mph is not an average speed. Try half that.
You're just slow and don't know much about the sport. People that would consider cycling a main hobby will easily post 20+ mph for far longer than 15 minutes at a time.
Pros average 24+ for hours on end.

Where did I say I was a pro?
Your point is completely irrelevant. As I'm on a hybrid cycling through country lanes I dont feel the need to break any speed records. Though I do average around thirty miles per week.
Please feel free to post your stats, Streethawk![]()
I just threw in that TdF link for kicks.
The point is still that 20+ mph for distances far more than 5 miles is not suspicious in any way in the sport of [amateur/hobbyist] cycling.
This is me averaging 32 mph over 4.8 miles, and the track is totally accurate.

It is if youre on a hybrid and on a trail
Nice Microsoft Paint work by the way. Of course you were averaging 32mph with a top speed of 42mph. Of course you were lol.
You never mentioned any of those other details. On its own, 5miles@22mph is fine.
Here's the full gps track. Care to try again?

avg grade -6.1%. Of course you averaged 32mph, you were going down a mountain! It doesn't take much to ride that fast when you don't even have to pedal!
You can take Myfitnesspal off the list. Today's update fixed it!
At least for the iPhone, no fix for the iPad app yet.
FYI the Tour de France is a 21 day, 2,000 mile extreme endurance event. It is not typical. Try a single day criterium or road race if you are going to compare to pros. You clearly know nothing about cycling.
22mph is not an average speed for a typical cyclist. Try 13 - 15.
And given that professionals like Lance Armstrong tend to average 25mph in the Tour De France I rather suspect someone failed their math![]()

Typical is a single outing. 20-100 miles.
Here's last Sat. group ride. 20mph avg.

And I'm far from fast. I don't compete, not even in shape to keep up at entry level, just ride for fun and fitness.

Are we in a thread about biking or about app problems?! This is all way off topic....
Oh, I didn't realize the iPad version still didn't work.
Washington Post app crashing on my mini. Anyone else?
