I agree. Also, what is the purpose of the missed notifications tab? I still don't get it. After all we see all notifications in the "All" tab.
I imagine some people only care about the stuff they didn't see...not what they have already seen.
I'm also not so sure why Today & All are separated out. I get Calender entries for today in the Today list but if I have just received a message, it only shows in the All list. It forces me to check both tabs to ensure I have captured everything.
Hmm, ok maybe. Still not really very intuitive. The all tab could be grouped by date for example, or could display the missed notifications first. It is really a tap too much for me.
And just one more thing, animation of closing app when the app isnt on the current screen is milion times better than animation of minimizing app into the icon itself. Just open multitasking, scroll to some app which isnt on the current springboard page and open it, then click home button. That animation is great.
Anyone else notice that they got rid of the last name initials in messages? Mine is just first names
All-in-all Beta 5 feels extremely fluid and polished. I think we're nearing the end!

It's fine, but I actually like the animation of minimizing the app into the icon and zooming out better. It's a better visual representation of what's happening, IMO.
Just changed the default to be first name only. Options for last initial, first and last name etc are still there in settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Short Name > pick from these choices:

Does the globe icon (and for that matter the speech input mic icon) still activate with a single tap? I've been hoping they will change them to tap-and-hold activation as I'm tired of accidentally triggering those two.
Also, the damn globe icon is in a different position on some keyboards so you can't even just keep tapping on the same spot to switch around. Has that been fixed by any chance?

I'm getting it with both streamed and downloaded. I can recreate it predictably by starting my podcast, turning off my screen, opening back up, and then opening safari.
I'm sure there are other ways, but this one stops my podcast every time.
It does still change with a single tap. I hardly tap it accidentally but i can see how that can happen.
I only use spanish and english and the icons dont move positions...
