First bug:
The status bar on top (with clock, wifi, signal strength) would sometimes completely disappear on the home screen. The bar would continue to exist in apps though.

iPhone 4S - not a clean install.

right now im too lazy to post a screenshot and post it on my phone because its charging but my iPhone 5 had the static 5 dots signal and now im not getting any service with it, my parents phones all have 3-4 bars of service and i have nothing and BTW i have AT&T usually i get 4-5 bars in my room well before the static 5 bars, might be a bug or ATT just updating their network in my area which happens every 1-2 months

Some of the things I've noticed today while using Beta 5:

1) It takes an excruciating long time to boot, much like some others have stated (unlocked 4S). It's pretty crazy how long it's taken to get to the lock screen.

2) App Store bug in which any other window switches back to the "Featured" lost without fail until that list was fully loaded. Very annoying and I expect it to be fixed in the next beta and of course by the GM.

3) Keyboard still refuses to give a space when autocorrecting with an apostrophe in a word.

4) Copy/Paste/More menu in Messages looks completely screwed up. Bleeds into a square that gives off the iOS 7 wallpaper hue, and isn't very responsive at all.

5) App load and resume times are shorter on my 4S. This is much welcomed.

6) Multitasking window is still less responsive than many would like. Takes too long to receive a response when flipping through the open apps. Seems like a RAM issue, though, as I'm not sure if this is seen on the 5 or iPad 4.

7) Signal strength is improved in other areas I frequent and less so at home. Go figure. Could be outliers with tower issues instead of the Betas, but with how many are reporting signal strength UI and amplification issues, I'm willing to assume it's due to the software.

8) No more unlock sound for slide to unlock. Weird. Expecting this to come back.

9) transparency is gone. Black notification center, non-transparent keyboard. So weird because I never noticed any performance issues inside notification center or using the transparent keyboard.

I'm sure there's more, but for the 10 or so hours I've had Beta 5, that's what I've noticed so far. Already sent in bug reports for needed to be reported as well.

1 after purchasing apps/ringtones which ever,I noticed it says downloading under updates or waiting at the icons..

2 google chrome keeps crashing

I will update as I use more!

Battery life seems noticeably worse. Down to 87% after 30 minutes

I'm seeing battery drop very rapidly as well...similar to B3. On B4, myself and many others I know wouldn't drop from 100% for almost 30min-hour or more of standby time...and 30min or so of nonstop usage. With B3, and now B5, I just dropped from 100 after unplug, to 96 by the time this post was finished typing. B4 battery life was incredible. So far, battery life here is a spitting image of B3...dropping for no apparent reason, where B4 was super solid. Interesting

Weird.

Boot times vary on 4S, non-clean install.

I was doing hard resets each time. First time was around 3-4 minutes. Second time was 2-3 minutes. Last one was about a 1-2 minutes. Not sure if it's in my head since I didn't actually time it but there it is...

the original post says twitter is now working....

I still have to hold down to switch to everything. Did I do something wrong?

Is anyone else finding their ipad 4 to take very long to charge under beta 5? (Maybe it's just in my head)

Also I wish they would make closing apps in the task switcher easier. I keep failing to close apps sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row because I find you have to swipe it almost perfectly vertical and I'm still not getting used to it.

Every time I switch between landscape and portrait on the iPhone while using the messages app the text box area turns black momentarily. Anyone else have this problem?

----------

Has anyone noticed that the colour of the text and status bar changes on the home screen when a lighter background is selected and it reverts back to white with dark backgrounds.

It's been like that since beta 1

I have an iPad 3 with iOS 6 on it still and it takes along time for it to charge. I don't think its beta 5.

The ipad 3 was known to take forever to charge. They fixed that with the ipad 4 by shipping it with a 12w charger. Since I updated to b5 it seems to be back at the rate of ipad 3.

I've been having this issue since beta 4. I was hoping 5 would fix it, but sadly it didn't. It worked perfectly fine in beta 2 and 3 (I even reinstalled 2 to make sure). Anyone else having such an issue?

The sometimes cutoff nav bar in the dialer app, and sometimes cut off top portion of the recents list seems to be fixed (although it has only been a day).

Battery life seems worse than B3 for me, but still better than B1. But it's been less than a day so I will reserve judgment until later.

Updated via OTA via B3, which was also OTA. B3 had near iOS6 battery life for me.

Everyone with Twitter problem. What I did to fix the button problem, I deleted the app and installed it again. That fixed the problem for me after updating Twitter before I installed the Beta 5. Hope that helps.

Is Safari showing iCloud tabs on iPhone?

I can fin it on the iPad, but not on the iPhone. Is it gone?

I've had more issues on beta 5 than any other betas. The home screen randomly locks up and won't let me move to other pages. The status bar randomly disappears. Before my phone started randomly playing music. I paused it from the home screen, unlocked my phone and when I double tapped the home button to show the multitasking apps music wasn't even running.
Also I can't rotate my phone in any apps.
I typed this all in portrait mode on my phone out of anger

Example of missing status bar

home screen locking happens to me as well

Mine takes less than a minute to boot.

I'm loving Beta 5 so far. No crashes and none of the other bugs people have mentioned. My 4S is still running like a dream.
