Every user's case will be different. The apps you use that haven't been updated for iOS 7 won't multitask or background in an ideal fashion.

Apps crashing (as they aren't updated for iOS 7) can cause errant processes. If these processes involve downloading over LTE you can see a dramatic hit.

Look in Settings > General > About > Diagnostic and Usage. There exists a report for any malfunction; guarantee you see the same Apps over and over.

Genius Bar would have you delete and reinstall problem Apps to improve memory and correspondingly battery life.

My average on iOS 7b5 has been 7.5 usage and 20 standby.

Oh, ok lol

I have a bunch of things off like Bluetooth, Background App Refresh, Location Services, Push mail, and Parallax so not sure what's up.

i have all of the extra stuff turned off too. only thing thats on is one push email account and basic location services. i just restored my phone as new and im in the process of resyncing apps. ill see how it does.

Nah lol. I was asking anyone who is getting good battery life unlike us.

Well, to note, my iOS 7 Beta 5 devices are an wifi only iPad mini - so inherently it's gonna get pretty good battery life at 13 hours - and an iPhone 4S, which is getting me about 6.5 hours of use. I would guess the interchanging use of both devices throughout the day helps to spell each other's batteries so they both see the end of the day, so that's a factor to take into consideration. Additionally, I keep brightness at or below 50% for both devices unless in direct sunlight (auto-brightness), all radios off unless in use, and all lock screen push notifications off on both devices so the screen doesn't wake, using up battery.

Ok, let us know. Probably gonna restore tomorrow.

iPad mini is doing ok I guess. 1 hr 46 min usage/6 hr 13 min standby and I'm at 90% on a fresh install. I'm strill watching the % drop by 1 every 5-10 mins on wifi macrumors browsing on the lowest screen brightness. So I'll see how the phone does tomorrow.

my battery life on Beta 5 has drastically improved. Before with beta 4 i get about 4-5 hours usage. With Beta 5 I can get 6-7 hours with my usual usage but with music and my regular usage I can get more than 9 hours.

Yeah. With beta 5 I'm actually able to play games and last the whole entire day.

This is my usage stats on iPhone 4s ios 6.1.2...
Usage time is on internet and youtube videos...

I restored on 6.1.3 and upgraded to beta 5 as a new device and downloaded a few apps clean...

(on ios6 i had a bunch of tweaks + push, 3g, wifi, location on all the time...)

Is anyone having an issue with beta 5 where the iPhone (5 in my case) powers down at 10%? I would think it was a fluke with the meter but when I plug it in, it turns on pretty much immediately and is at 12-13%. And oddly, the consumption from 100% to 10% is fairly stable and impressive in my opinion, consistent with iOS 6. Fresh install with restore from backup. My iPad mini on beta 5 doesn't do it.

I am getting some great standby time with Beta 5. Something around 1 day and 5 hours sometimes with light use.

I followed the instructions floating around for how to save battery life. All the new features (background app update, etc.) are all turned off.

I also have push disabled for facebook. But I do have 5 push email accounts using the mailbox app.

Actual (non-standby) Usage is around 6-8 hours.

It's pretty much on par with ios 6 now.
